GTRE GTX 35VS Kaveri

I wish in the posts like these - we could adjust figures according to Indian financial environment. For eg the machinery and material maybe is as costly to us as to US, but salaries, labor, infra building, day to day running costs may not be same. I am pretty sure even then we may not be at par but would give us better picture of how far gov is away from required expenditure on this initiative.

But then it maybe also true that we may require forgien talent at forgien packages anyway just like what solar industries realized.

He is just stating the isothermal press costs, most of the cost is material and process to build it. There is not much difference in cost it takes to build it here or build it in USA. Rather I would argue that US has very cheap supply of rare earth minerals because of their global influnce. Also labour costs is same because it take very highly skilled and trained people when you are talking state of the art technology like jet engines. People dedicate their whole lives to certain section of technology, you have pay them whatever they ask..

RD-33 is known to be a very problematic engine, yet we built about 120 of them locally. Na-Pakis opted for it in JF-17s
Pakis opted for an even worse engine. Their RD-93MA is uprated to jannat and is half a gen behind our RD-33MKs. It has around 2000 hours of engine life while having less thrust than the RD-33MK with double the engine life.

Its means that wasnt april fool
It wasn't kaveri is already sent to russia for ftb tests ig those tests are complete and satisfactory.
So next step is intergrated it with Tejas do the testing on fighter and one thing which is mysterious to me is that it's the kaveri with that new fan or not because for fighter testing kaveri with that new fan will make sense as it can tolerate higher distortions in fighter. While we also don't the status abt brahmos afterburner section.

One thing is clear kaveri has a good future. I hope after all tests are done the new sanctioned program should max out performance of kaveri designs potentials. Such that we can put it in Tejas mk1a and even mk2 58/98kn won't be that far for it then. This will make sure Americans don't mess up with f414. My instrusive thoughts thou
But in past gtre has carried out simulation which proved ka eri could intern churn out 57/91kn thrust. With even better tech being developed i suppose the above mentioned fantasy isn't impossible

Ideally we ought to be running 2 parallel programs ( or 3 if we include the JV with a F-OEM for development of a 120 KN TF for AMCA Mk-2 ) , including one analogous to GE F-404 & the other analogous to F-414 , simultaneously.

After all the F-414 program was birthed by the F-404 program , being an up rated version of the latter. Ditto with the Kabini core of the Kaveri TF.

Anyway , let's not get ahead of ourselves . Let them at least certify the existing Kaveri TF with an output of ~ 52 KN / 73 KN . Future course of action can be determined once this is accomplished .

How long will take to integrate with kaveri ? or may be they are in mid of integration.
