Probably the strongest ethnic group in terms of internal cohesiveness, with Russia as probably the only competition in this regard. Chinese coverups are not very relevant to their sense of internal unity over external entity.

I have no reason to doubt that internal unity in china is similar to internal unity amongst FOB Chinese in Canada. Yes, they overplay it, but they are still in the top 1% of the nations for internal unity.
