The west had human zoos till 1950s, if anyone thinks the racism that they practiced and preached openly for centuries just goes away in 50 years, then I have a white marble building in Agra on sale for them. But even then America has been quite acceptive of immigrants and meritocracy is awarded, even if America did it to further their own interests. This recent bout of racism is nothing but a periodic resurgence of the dirt that they pushed under the carpet to absolve them of their guilt. It will come and go, just like it has for other ethnicities. The only difference now is that we have the internet and we have social media, so the hate & racism gets amplified probably 100x than before.
But Indians are not the only ones at the receiving end, just check how Chinese have been treated in US historically.

Compared to them, this online drama is soooooo weak and mild.

But there are several silver linings in this as per me, first the often blatant and irrational racism highlights the dark, dirty underbelly of US, second there is very little to no real impact on the immigrants themselves as the screechers are low life individuals with next to no real power except for an open media to air their racism, third it will help pull ethnic Indians out of their disillusionment that somehow US is a heaven and Indian is bad bad, fourth it will polarise them to be more abrasive, confident and do better and better, fifth it will help forge a sense of community building among fellow Indians as they will realise there is no one for them except their own.

As US is going to see more public Indian faces in various fields, expect the racism to rise and not get any less.
But Indians in US also have the $$$ and influence to curb it, if they want to.
There is a law to combat Jew hatred, and there is one to combat Muslim hatred, none to combat Hindu hatred... I wonder why.

Additionally, he has expressed interest in acquiring Greenland, citing national security concerns, and aims to reclaim the Panama Canal, claiming it is at risk of falling under Chinese control.

Trump’s proposals echo the “might is right” approach to expansionism seen in the 19th century. With no global power capable of effectively opposing him, he may proceed with these plans sooner than later. Canada, being firmly opposed to annexation, poses the greatest challenge. Trump may resort to economic coercion to achieve this objective. In contrast, he is likely to use a combination of financial incentives and military pressure to acquire Greenland and regain control of the Panama Canal.

Trump’s broader strategy may also include ending the war in Ukraine and shifting responsibility for Europe’s security to NATO allies. This move could serve as leverage to pressure Denmark into selling Greenland, much like Napoleon sold Louisiana to the U.S. If European powers resist, Trump might even threaten to dismantle NATO. Reclaiming the Panama Canal, however, would likely be straightforward, as financial incentives and the withdrawal of service contracts could pressure Panama into compliance, reversing President Carter’s decision to return the canal to Panamanian control.

The critical question remains: is there any power in the world capable of stopping Trump? Russia, reeling from the economic and military toll of the Ukraine war, may take 20–30 years to recover. China, heavily reliant on exports to the U.S., is unlikely to challenge American dominance outside its own region. In the absence of a strong external opposition, the only potential obstacle to Trump’s plans may come from the American public. If they perceive these actions as unjust, domestic resistance could arise. However, it is likely that a significant portion of Americans would support Trump’s vision.

In conclusion, while annexing Canada presents a significant challenge, Trump’s plans to acquire Greenland and the Panama Canal may proceed with relative ease. His approach represents a stark revival of 19th-century expansionism, underpinned by the belief that no global power is strong enough to oppose him.
