India Canada Relations

"American journalist Angad Singh found out the Indian government had blacklisted him only when he was deported from New Delhi in August 2022, he told ST. He had been an assistant producer in Vice News’ Emmy-nominated 2020 documentary, India Burning, about the impact of Hindu supremacist policies on minority communities under the Modi government in India."

"Earlier, most Sikh diaspora were from peasant origins. Many today are professors, lawyers, doctors, accountants, politicians and economists. “They are more articulate, well-connected, and know how to assert democratic rights,” he said."

“The great tragedy of transnational repression is that the place for moderate, secularist people is shrinking. We feel stuck between polarised views, where you have to be either pro-Khalistani or pro-Modi,” he added.

Ms Kamal Preet Kaur, a Labour Party councillor of the London Borough of Hillingdon, noted that in the UK, US and Canada, “Pro-Khalistan and pro-BJP rallies are clashing head on regularly these days”.

“One holds a rally, the other responds, both are coming out to the streets to fight out the narrative battle,” she said.

And yet these statements by disgruntled, fanatic or ignorant Sikhs, go almost totally unchallenged, so the impression exists among many people that India is doing something unsavoury or unethical. Whereas it is sensible and normal practice to monitor terrorists. One major reason is to block them from coming back to India.

that's the mistake congis did, by vocally challenging individuals thru media, previous govt increased legitimacy of activists and NGOs by having "shouting matches" with them publicly.

most of these activists, what they fear most is irrelevance. their worth to the global marxist/libtard network is defined by the bhav given to them by the state, by their oppressor/oppressed political theory.

Gormint can do the same things it wants to do, without saying anything. this is why they stopped publicly announcing OCI blacklists starting with tavleen singh's son episode.

what does this move of removing Indian consular officials from canada tell us?
one can read it as, among other things OCI cards and visas as important to empty spaces. so much so that they put enough pressure on a foreign gormint to ensure publicly available local information is not collected on empty space related individuals by india's consular officials.

how do we know this?
RCMP chief in his interview said, sending back diplomats is not related to nijjar case.

what did recalled diplomat say in multiple interviews?
he said, they were doing only overt activities of collecting publicly available information and sending it back to GoI as allowed by vienna convention.

Well Canada is doing the same thing by surveilling Indian military bases and Indian military officers. So they can't complain about the same treatment.
there is a difference spying on governments and spying on terrorists , one if high value and the other
no real value expendable.

Mudi government has only retaliated minimally.. in that after Canada told that Indian high commissioner was being expelled, it expelled an equivalent number of canadian diplomats..
Will it swallow this sh*t as well..? Because after Doval[Pannun case accused ] and Amit Shah, it will be Modi who will be accused next..

They are on the way to that i.e. naming Modi.

Being a vassal state, Canadian regime is acting on borrowed muscle & on directions from US, ultimate aim being multiple simultaneous "pressure points" as a way to gaining leeway in several interactions/policies.

I have a feeling that the only reason the GOI is not retaliating beyond a point is the large number of students that we have there.

India should demand reopening of the Kanishka case.

India should demand investigation into the role of the Canadian state agency CSIS & incumbent PM Turdu's alleged father role in the same.

India should kick out Canadian regime aligned propaganda outlets foot soldiers.

India should open an investigation into the role of foreign agencies role (especially CIA/CSIS) during the farmers agitation.

Finally crackdown on Ford foundation & other foreign agents in India.

Fact that they are gunning for AS shows that he has caused some problems for their agents in India.

Canadian regime wants to draw attention away from this -

Canada opposition leader cancels Diwali event, slammed for 'discriminatory act'

"In a letter to Pierre Poilievre, Bhasker wrote that several political leaders, who had attended the event in previous years, suddenly withdrew this year, leaving the community “feeling betrayed and unjustly singled out.”"

“This is not just about a cancelled Diwali event or an event where the politicians renege on their commitment to attend; it is about a much deeper and insidious problem. Racism and discrimination are thriving in Canada, and this latest development has laid bare the systemic biases that still exist,” Bhasker wrote.

Trudeau has set the trap for next conservative govt (if any), Trudeau -now china India sem2sem

Wait for 2 months.. There will be a canadian request for extradition of Amit poppat Shah.. And for remiitance, software exports .. Mudi will swallow that humiliation as well without any meaningful retaliation..

DHANDHO ..

Little to no software exports to canada. Also, remittances from canada are a rounding off error in the grand scheme of things - not to forget, India is not even a remittance dependent economy to begin with. There is no dhadhomaxxing involved with tiny insignificant canada - at least make it make sense!!!

Canadian pension funds have invested huge sums in our infrastructure projects especially our highway & expressway projects.

Which is a threat to them not to us.
A threat to neither. They can find alternative sources to park their funds in & we can always find alternative sources of investment.

India goods + services exports + remittance =~ 10 billion dollars i think.. Not much.. but dhandho maxxers still love it..

Not that way ... Investment can always flow however .. But the removal of funds can be blocked by us... if things are serious enough .. like them seizing our foreign assets etc.
