This is a refrain that has been heard by Khalistanis in Canada, that the reason more pro Khalistani voices are not heard in Punjab itself, is that the Indian government doesn't allow it. Unlike the oh so glorious Canadian government where perfect freedom and democracy exists. The approach satisfies the delusions and falsehoods of the Khalistanis, and massages the egos of a few Canadians.

Why are the Khalistanis allowed all this freedom, but not Al Qaeda, ISIS, the Taliban, the IRA, PLO, Hamas, Hezbollah and the like. That would raise uncomfortable, damning really, questions about the colonial, racist and of course hypocritical character of Canada. Institutionally, Canada is quite colonial.

Strictly speaking, passports can be revoked in case the bearer violates the passport act but what do you do if the person is an NRI with permanent residency in a foreign nation and in posession of a duly cleared perfectly valid passport?

9/10 if you've a PR of another nation it stands to reason you'd have applied for citizenship of that nation. If in case your Indian passport is revoked technically you're stranded.

But your PR shouldn't be affected if the government there is inclined to supporting you , just the fact you won't be able to travel back to India for obvious reasons.

However if the government there is not in your favour , you've had it . The PR gets cancelled & since your Indian passport is revoked , you're now an undesirable alien who can & will be deported.

You've the case of Shamima Begum , British citizen of BD extraction who went to join the ISIS in Syria & became an ISIS bride who had her British passport revoked which led to a long legal battle which she ultimately lost. Our laws are pretty much similar to the Brits for obvious reasons.

EDIT: So apparently, emergency revocation of passports is a thing in India. Wasn't aware of it.

So even the “credible allegations” are also merely ‘speculative and inaccurate’ as per this latest statement

Ideally GoI should initiate a crackdown on WaPo offices in India after this.

Canada is a prime playpond of global geopolitics for the long term. People dont realize, Canada is basically Australia in resources and a heavyweight top 5 nation in agri output, plus the largest potable freshwater reserve on the planet ( meaning its in liquid form and not icecaps).

Combine with low population density, Canada is basically the last frontier, except maybe Siberia, for colonization.
Heck, before covid came around, Canadian govt. had immigration plans to make Canada a country of 100 million people by 2100. **THIS** is what lead to the massive increase in liberal immigration policies post covid and has been the biggest sore spot for local canadians ( not because or racism, though it is there, but mainly because canadian housing sector has no hope in hell of keeping up with the demand and thus house prices have gone up 4x in 25 years and are at breaking point now).

From late 90s to 2010s, Chinese immigration dominated Canada ( the 1-2-3 of the 90s-2010 are China, then daylight, then phillipines and then daylight then india).
Then, around the time modi came into power, the influx changed and Indians became #1, then it accelerated, to now where Indians are #1 immigrant community by 2x of the 2nd place ( again, filipinos, the perpetual silver medalists in this race for some reason).

At first, Canadians preferred Indian influx over chinese, because first thing Turd-O did after coming to power, is take pangaa with China ( i still remember, his FIRST damn foreign policy address as a PM was to entrench canada as vanguard of hyooman rights and put pressure on China re: human rights of tibet +xinjiang) and China went full hostile from that moment.

Then, over time, China bought out the liberal + NDP party and china puchased some extremely expensive mining & oil block rights in Canada ( at that time, Canadians were hahaha stoopid chinku paying so much more) but then China filled up the management with libbu party affiliates and their bhateejas and betas.

This lead China to basically turn the liberals from being apathetic towards hindus/Indians to hostile to them, especially since the new breed Indians are highly indianised and even if they hold Canadia citizenship, they are not your pussy babu kaum of desis that went to murrica-canada in the 90s and 00s, but the haryanvi puttar types.
This you can see from the Khalistani vs hindu protests going toe to toe and remember, people in Canada risk a lot more than people in US for protests, because we do not have the right to protest actually ( see what happened to the trucker protests during covid - they literally got their bank accounts frozen and criminal charges laid for camping in a park for a month in ottawa).

So long story short, the hostility towards India/Indians/Hindus is basically a China hand at play, with China trying to cut India down to size.
Because if things remain as is, the numbers do not lie, Indians will be around 25% of Canadian population by as soon as 2060. 35 years may look a long time to some, but its just a blink of an eye in terms of massive changes ( think that 35 years ago from today, the berlin wall was around, soviet union was around, no bin laden crap, no islamoterrorism globally, see how much the world has changed in 35 years).
But Canada needs people, its not gonna flat out say no to Indians who wanna come here. So what do you do ? you make the conditions hostile for Indians so the Indian immigration slows down to a trickle and only the most docile kind come here.

That is the underlying geopolitical game behind all this.

As for Unkil, Unkil as usual, is too short-sighted to care about the geopolitical game of Canada and has always relied on 'Canada can become black,blue or chinku, as long as Canada is part of NORAD, we will tell canada to jump and canada will say how high' principle.
