how many darin 3 jags are there? i thought we had 100+ jaguars, who will fill the role for ground attack till ghatak comes inexcept Darin 3 Jags
Same.What about engine and airframe?
We have 60 Darin 3 jagshow many darin 3 jags are there? i thought we had 100+ jaguars, who will fill the role for ground attack till ghatak comes in
Even for foreign manufacturers they have a very unrealistic mindset. MRCA saga is an important example of that. They have yet to file an RFP for MRFA. They are having this rude awakening in only last few months. IAF has a history of doing this. If they want import they should get it fast. Just start MRFA and buy Rafale atleast.
Rafales (4-5 squadrons) along with at least 2 squadrons of 5G (I would want F35), 220 LCA MK1A and 120 LCA MK2 would ensure deterrence against PLAAF-PAF combined front till AMCA becomes available. They wanted whole 114 planes order.
Govt can't pay in bulk for that much, it's too expensive along with the other things we ask like domestic weapons integration and domestic private sector assembly/fabrication plant.
It's why Modi bought 36 Rafale in G2G, but the Italian mutt's barking has scared him and IAF wants the whole 100+ bulk order.
This is the deadlock.
Now those Shylock Frenchies won't agree to give Tata the contract for Rafale fuselage aise hi, so that is the only hope in the current mess that Mera Rafale Aayega, Zaroor Ayega.
imo 72-90( 4-5 sqdrn worth ) Rafales should be purchased, we'd have guaranteed supply of planes.
There were plans for 60 to be upgraded which is about half the fleet.how many darin 3 jags are there? i thought we had 100+ jaguars, who will fill the role for ground attack till ghatak comes in
We should have ordered some more after those 36 were delivered. 72-80 seems like the ideal number. Rahul gandhi Intimidated mudi and he backed off, I don't see any other reason why it didn't move forward. They wanted whole 114 planes order.

No, original plans is for 60 darin 3.We have 60 Darin 3 jags
Could be an engine issue [loss of thrust or flame out] when performing nap of the earth flight. Leaving no scope for recovery/relight or successful ejection.Today's crash doesnt seem to be aircraft fault related. Speculation on my part but perhaps heat of the moment (NoE flying over featureless desert terrain) crash.
Om Shanti to the aatma of the pilot.
What Modi wanted was bringing the DA's assembly here. The whole setup with Chhota Ambani was for that. But Modi backed off because of Italian prince's chimpout sadly. If we had gone with more orders, there was chance of almost 70% of the Rafale's supply chain moving into India. And ofc Chhota Ambani would have profited from it. That didn't work but I don't understand why GoI just never bothered buying more of those directly. We should have ordered some more after those 36 were delivered. 72-80 seems like the ideal number. The allegations were that Mudi was trying to curry a favor for Anil Ambani, direct order should have squashed such allegations in the bud.
thats chindi, lca mk2 has high commonality with amca, we should make mk2 as our backbone with 300-400 aircrafts, single engine fighter - cheaper to maintain, better availability as compared to current backbone su30mki, when you order 300-400 and mass produce it, per unit cost would fall drastically, and ordering such a huge no at once would show trust, then it would be much more easier to export it too, unlike mk1a120 LCA MK2
ada had completed the recruitment in mihan nagpur and started training too for machines and safety, he wanted to start falcon production quickly asap then get the rafale production line, but that italian dalal made the biggest blow to procurement for import airforce, ada had plans for aerospace manufacturing, but that italian mf ufff. raga delayed the thales jv too which was assembling stuff for spectra. idk why he didnt raise a word on bharat forge, tata asl, hal, etc, only targeted pookie anil receiving money from offsets. but at the end chowkidar chor hai backfired. The whole setup with Chhota Ambani
They denied HAL's offer for 72 additional Su-30 MKI for MMRCA/LCA and all, such is their visionary thinking. Even now they are not serious about doing anything for the alarming situation of the fleet. They wanted whole 114 planes order.

= No F-35. Does Su-57 suit you?F-35 only
> if we can do MRO domestically, with Indian staff.
> No US personnel on IAF bases.
> We are allowed to hitwhomever
we want, no conditions
>No MDF upload to ALIS or any reliance on ALIS for logisteeks and spares orders.
There are the bare minimum requirements

IAF is simply testing water tbh with that number. They are very cautious because they don't trust HAL. If they see Tejas Mk2 being good. Expect more orders for Mk2 during the production process just like Mk1A. There could be 150-200 additional orders for Mk2A or something.thats chindi, lca mk2 has high commonality with amca, we should make mk2 as our backbone with 300-400 aircrafts, single engine fighter - cheaper to maintain, better availability as compared to current backbone su30mki, when you order 300-400 and mass produce it, per unit cost would fall drastically, and ordering such a huge no at once would show trust, then it would be much more easier to export it too, unlike mk1a
