It's less of a guiding the missile using awacs radar to the target being tracked , its more of a guiding the missile to the "general location" of the target being detected using awacs.

In this scenerio, The chances of hitting a fighter jet like target, especially if they have things like rwr, maws etc are quite low, but it can be used to force the enemy to go on defense.

Pakis wasted lots of pl15's in trying to force the iaf to go on defense, and get one or few lucky kills if possible, though by the times iaf went defensive payload was already launched.

They are not directly connected/networked.

But, PAF Erieye sends the Data to ground station, ground station converts it to a format usable by Chinese systems and sends the data to Chinese jets, but this causes delays in data transfer of few to dozen seconds.
This means even if direct "tracking" was bring done by erieye awacs, it wouldn't be able to provide fast enough guidance to Chinese missiles.
So it's limited to guiding the Chinese missile to "general location" of the enemy fighter.

As a bomber it's medicore with just 1.5 ton iwb payload, amca iwb payload will also be 1.5 tons.
Cats warrior has 0.65 ton iwb payload, bigger cats warrior will have 1ton iwb payload.


Su34 is not in same category as ghatak at all.

Yes, that's why were buying prachand, and bought Rudra, apache.

As for fixed winged platforms.
While not as effective as dedicated CAS jets like A10, su25, but Multirole fighter platforms can do Cas role too, all our fighter jets have internal cannon.
F35 was also supposed to replace a-10 for US,along with replacing f16,f18,harrier, though it didn't turned Out as planned due to how complicated f35 is, along with it's high operational cost and high maintenance need, but 4th airframe don't have those problem(with exceptions).
And these planes are considered "sufficient" enough for cases of close air support where airspace would be considered safe enough for fighter jet to provide CAS.
So airforces generally don't consider it to be worth it to procure dedicated CAS aircraft that will be limited to that role only, especially in modern times.
US airforce itself has tried many times to retire a10 deeming it's role to be not survivable in modern battlefield except in rare instances, though congress blocked it.

SU34, SU35 have similar payload capacity to our SU 30 MKI. SU34 optimized for Air to Ground ops and SU35 is an further optimized Air dominance fighter. We need to upgrade SU 30 MKI with new Radars, new EW suite and Targeting pods.

We only have A. We need to have an CATS Hunter cruise missile. NG and Nirbhay Subsonic CM Air version.
