Indian Army Armored Vehicles

any idea what is the fate of this Prototype and why they just shelved this project i just watermarked it on our website because IDRW idiots lifting it with no credit - cannon is a 40mm modified Bofors 40 mm L/60 gun, back in the day it was designed in a similar to CV90

This is the baseline of FICV Abhay Mark2. That was a mild-steel prototype for mobility trials. The new hull is 30% lighter & made of composite armour.

Nothing learned from this project even though it was 10 years old one.

bottom looks like a frog, especially front with headlights. Also looks weird to have exposed chains like this

Not a finished project, more likely an prospect bid from DRDO/L&T FICV prototype.

@mist_consecutive any idea how many Kalyani M4s the northern command inducted and how many were procured in total?

At least 200+ from what we can gather. Some are sent to UN missions.

Feedback is good. That thing is a fucking tank. We should put a 30mm cannon or at least a grenade launcher over it.

Any hope for further orders? IA needs at least 50k of them.

Yes ofc further orders for both M4 & ASLV will be there in future. Once Army likes something they will order it en masse.

Nice. I saw many of them during a recent trip, being used for patrolling and at checkpoints, so I was wondering how many of them are with IA.

Any idea on the feedback to Tata's MPV?

I wish every Indian Army truck had armored cabin and troop carrier area instead of soft top. Ukraine war has shown the importance of armor on transport trucks even if it can increase weight.
