We use pinaka as rocket artillery whose 1 battery can flatten 1km x 1km area, so it doesn't have to be that accurate while chinese and americans use long range guided rockets which are either 1 or 2 in number per launcher( not talking about himars) so they need to be accurate. Pinaka is a area denial weapon, chinese and american rocket arty are a strike weapon.

comes with EIGHT 370mm guided rockets and this is the one which was demonstrated in the video I had linked in my earlier comment. Sure, these are more expensive and will likely be used somewhat more sparingly, but still, nowhere near as you've made it out to be.

He is one of the generals which created the indian artillery modernization programs.

He worked with manohar parrikar.
He brought m777 ulh and it's enitre support ecosystem to Bharat and now a local company in Lucknow is BAE system's largest supplier of support and logistics material all over the world for m777.

He supported dhanush and atags during development against the actual import lobby. If not for this person and others like him we would be in a worse situation.

This is not glazing, these are facts.
Please members, we all are frustrated by slow pace of development but we should keep the discussion more knowlegde and fact based and less "hai tauba"/black pilling/ranting.

He is also working in IIT Madras for ramjet powered artillery.

I request members to go through his youtube channel gunner's shot which will provide you with in depth knowledge of Indian artillery program and various other topics related to indian military.

And guess what?? They too have better accuracy than our so called guided Pinaka has demonstrated!!

Oh and to add to it, this also happens to be the second most numerous MLRS system in PLA service and their number is higher than our entire rocket artillery corps as of now.

The American M270 with 12 rockets of almost identical dimensions to our Pinaka -

And examples of its accuracy has already been provided but I'll post once again as it seemingly escaped your attention the first time.

Guided pinaka should have completed development a few years back but it's still on trials. We need to seriously improve our development cycle. If it's as good as himars,there's going to be a huge market for exports .

Dude, just say that this system is still in its early development phase and therefore, it won't be fair of me to compare it with older, more mature systems that have already been in active service for quite some time and that'd have been a perfectly acceptable argument.

But just handwaving an obvious fact away like that just so you can save yourself from having to face a disconcerting reality is beyond retarded... and weak.
