Stryker and the Indian Army


- First things first, it is clear that the deal for Stryker is a top-down decision and did not come from the army.
- And the deal is going to happen.
- Be that as it may, the army seems to have made peace and given its recommendations.
- Given the fact that Stryker is not amphibious, which is a must have feature to fight along our western borders, the army seems to have limited its role to Eastern Ladakh.
- Which might be a silver lining as it still keeps window opens for large induction of WhAP/Kestrel.
- So, fingers crossed!


(1) M1304 ICVVA1 Stryker


- As per my freind @Hukum, the army has sought the M1304 ICVVA1 version - this one has an unmanned turret with 30mm Bushmaster cannon and is based on double hull version which gives higher protection against IEDs.

(2) Javelin and Stryker
- This brings me to the second question - Where does Javelin fit into this Stryker procurement?
- Well, the US Army has a dedicated Stryker version with Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station- Javeline (CROWS-J) instead of a turret.
- This allows the Javelin to be fired from within the vehicle. But reload obviously exposes the troops.
- This is CROW-J which also has a Browing machine gun:



And as seen here, troops are exposed during reloading.

MoD/MEA babus are taking PM for a ride it seems. Does he not realize the extremely naive thought of shifting production lines here doesn't work? Keeping aside competence aspect of a PSU which is gonna screwdriver them, US never gonna outsource crucial defence jobs. Modi thinks civilian industry is same as defence industry.

The deal is a trojan horse. On the guise of global export hub, once it comes here all the 8x8 will be systematically subverted. Since it's not babus money, they would be paying 5x cost for each spare part all while the OEM is laughing that Indians are easily fooled.

It's almost gonna be screwdriver giri plant with knocked down kits. Everything gonna come from sub-component suppliers. It seems topji doesn't have enough intellectual bandwidth to understand that.

Recently came across some paid US shill on X, who seems to be some central ministry advisor or something, he has photos being with Modi. He got into kalesh with Aatmanirbhar Bharat supporters. This is the top echelon Modi is surrounded by.
