Indian Economy

Services exports are now much higher than goods exports. With goods exports declining. Holy crap.

Earn money from whatever way possible. I don't like to claim doom on every such news.
Well it indeed is concerning since non-petroleum and gems imports are rising much faster, indicating that our industries are not being able to substitute imports of components and finished products.

ANy idea which companies making in India ??
Not sure who is doing this in India but Samsung is one big player in this sector making all sorts of Medical machines like MRI, Ultrasound, etc.
They have plants in India already so might be manufacturing or assembling these here.

Should not be an issues if we are buying components or preprocessed raw materials and using them to make final/finished products.

Possibly because crude pricings have been stagnant for quite a while (a significant % of our exports are still petroleum products). We had similar data a few months back too. How are the cumulative 10 month figures looking up?

Okay, so it is almost entirely explainable by the crude oil prices.

Do y'all remember how much FUD was pushed back in the days when these manufacturing were starting, misleading and blatant fake news about Indian made Apple models being bad, 50% of them having defects ( which was actually a equipment test not production issue) and a bunch of protests started by commies and amplified by ccp funded media.

let's hope these workers can use their knowledge eventually in domestic sectors. plus further increase in manufacturing of other consumer electronics like washing machines, ovens, AC, farming equipment would be nice.

It was in the more in life sciences section below that article about CT scanners being made here.It caught my eye. Dhandhos can make money from any angle.

they kinda have to, made-in-india is good and all, I can't get too angry on them for importing from chinks, I needed a arduino card for my college project and its all Chinese stuff, our EEE faculty gave us kaali goli on state of electronics manufacturing in this country, where they had to create some robotics stuff for a primary school in the area and not even small part were made in India.

what it means is china has a large monopoly on components market, if you want to make anything you need Chinese stuff. you check it right now, try to find where your laptop's charger was made or printing head of your printer, battery of your torch, transformer of your oven, its all Chinese or Vietnamese ( which is just Chinese by proxy).

I don't know what's the problem with this you guys have?
Do you want people to do nothing and shut all activities. Isn't it similar to Apple designing inhouse but taking help from OEM in China to produce the actual material.

Keep making fun of Make in India program without realizing the meaning of the program.
