Indian Economy

Yep, stoping chinese made components rn, will add a huge production cost for a lot of product based indian firms and startups, it's unfortunate that india doesn't manufacture thess but things are changing.

too much unnecessary extrapolations being made from that fellow's tweets, and judgements being made on India with limited information. it's just a mixer grinder motor.

for his business model, it's a decision that he has made, based on his costing calculations.

"licensed production" is a big word for this, it's a mixer grinder motor. the guy's company makes mixer grinder under brand name blaaze.

could be a simple case of convenience since he is based out of HK.

Chinese seems to have ascended into the third stage of manufacturing.

More organized setup.
I guess these are the result of larger orders and fairly priced items.

Another factor might be that chinese accommodates construction of factories/workshop, more regulation and firms that specialize in workshop construction.

Not a fair comparison, atomeberg is a b2c the one in my video was most likely a medium size b2b supplier. It's like one of those suppliers you get after searching on Indiamart.

Yes, those chinese suppliers are B2B vendors. What helps in their case is standardization of the core components. They have few standard variable sizes and other companies build their products around them.

This helps in large scale production without fear or tension of facing problems with different buyers.

You have visited China can you affirm whether Chinese have better standardized their workshop/factories compared to ours?
Like basic amenities: floor plan, factory infrastructure, power source, labor safety, equipment, assembly line tools like workdesks and carriage.

There are alot of opinions about manufacturing in india, I had to make somethings clear. People accusing businessmen of importing from China just for importing component.

Amazing. Over 50000 footwear manufacturing jobs by a single company in Tamil nadu. These are the jobs that should be landing in Bimaru + WB states, but nothing but they are busy signing semikandaktar and data center MOUs, instead of attracting these jobs.

They have come a long way now. They started like your backyard casting and molding shops producing crude and poor-quality stuff. The bigger JV with foreign companies' setup bigger plants with better work environment. With time even their low tier players have developed top notch clean rooms, international level factories, equipment, safety along with uninterrupted power supply from their local power companies.

We have to go along way, but we are on the right path. Even in UP we are now getting good un-interrupted power supply 90% of the time.

The difference lies in the quality of labor and the mentality of labor. They adopted new tech readily and worked on to improve them and increase quality and efficiency.
Indian labor on other side is most stubborn and demanding in the whole world with high resistant to changes in technology and procedures.

This is what Sweden offers today. I wish to be here & hope this forum exists to see what Sweden will be like 20 years from today given the rapid influx & breeding by the peacefuls.

Message to all the teens & those in their 20s. Aim for Sweden but like this gentleman buy a retirement home in India. He's seen the writing on the wall. There's at best a 20-30 year window of opportunity to exploit before the collapse.

Alhamdulillah!

On another thread we cry why everything is a shithole in India. That there is no one to contribute technologically or tax wise. On other hand we encourage parasitic behavior like this, emigrating to other country, paying taxes there but then buying property here driving up real estate. Spend productive years bootlicking gora sahib but then spend the "retirement" years rent seeking here.

Haldi, Elmo and Orange Man are still super salty over our import tariffs. Do not take these drip drip media leaks seriously just yet;
Looks like it will happen soon.

Tariffs are 15% for first 8k vehicles as per last year policy. Now the govt is trying to sweeten the deal by allowing investing in charging infra count towards the $500m.
This actually looks tailor made for Musk because he can bring in his supercharger network now easily.

Not a fan of this move, but I also disagree with Divaji here as I don’t think we should further increase the tax breaks.

His supercharger network would be the best thing to happen in India in long time. Thats the only thing I want from him India.

Govt. is hutiya. Instead of promoting ethanol to fill pockets of Gadkari, govt. should be giving 4-5 billion USD a year in incentive to companies for constructing chargers. That's what China did to drive mass adoption of EV. EV's now make 50% of chinese car sales. They will hit peak oil by 2030 and start declining after that. That is their big geopolitical play, since most of their oil comes through Indian Ocean. EV battery materials on the other hand are upto 95% recyclable (that percentage will go up in future, with improvements in tech). China is building out full recycling infra domestically as well.

Energy independence is insane boost for comprehensive national power. Look at Russia, despite not being technological leader anymore, they can take insane geopolitical risks, since they are food and energy independent.

In tech at least, EU countries are not even great for savings.

Shall our Power Grid be able to Handle the load of so many Super chargers if EV adoption was set to soar?
