Indian Economy

Out of all the BIMARU states only Bihar has managed to stay stagnant despite the claim of super-duper growth. Guess why?

The politicians of the state have given the bureaucrats the right to govern. For any civil servant, Bihar is the dreamland.

This is dead embarrassing, that's Somalia's level of economy.

Guys, does someone have any idea about why no final assembly line was setup in India despite the fact that Air India + Indigo both have given massive orders to Boeing/Airbus. China has got two airbus assembly lines for orders of 150-160 units whereas our total is ~500 each for Airbus+Boeing.

I think we got orders for component manufacturing. Assembly will come later.

You should ask that question to Tata group. They are private organisation who wanted rapid expansion in airlines industry. Now they can't wait 3-4 years for assembly line to begin it's operation and 5-6 years to attain full-scale production and complete delivery in 10-12 years.

If we had a company like Embraer of Brazil, both of these airliner manufacturers would have been forced to assemble aircraft in India. Because they have a monopoly over passenger aircraft, they can get away with anything they want.

Indian private airlines don't care where their planes are manufactured. They just want them quick. Chinese carriers are state owned so CCP can do the negotiation on their behalf. Also, these final assembly lines are often negotiated at government level, for example the second FAL was announced during macron's recent visit to China.

Sirsa is just few thousand lower than Hisar ? Hisar is manufacturing and industrial area in that zone

If the government revises it's PLI scheme for textiles and includes garments in it there will be massive employment and quick acceptance and the kanglus will get kicked out of the entire garment ecosystem . The subsidies that revising the scheme will provide will easily match the requirements of any firm looking to set up a manufacturing facility

extension of PLI in textiles for exports is good.
textile industry seems to have revived by the incentives post pandemic, and size more than doubled since 2014.

is textile industry(domestic market) still complaining?

In terms of numbers, the industry size is pegged at approximately Rs 10 lakh crore

Nope, Bihar despite being a shithole is far better than zoomalia.
They have Gurugram,Panipat and Faridabad which pushes up their per capita income.

Incidentally, Gurgaon's neighbor Nuh is amongst the poorest in the country. Never seen a situation where two neighboring districts have completely opposite fortunes.
Nothing surprising once you realise who lives in majority in Nuh.

How much of that increase is due to inflation? Take away the inflation factor and gauge the true increase of value and only then you can get a true picture of the value of the PLI's contributions.

The problem is that the PLI scheme if extended towards garment manufacturing would add lakhs of low skill jobs and double or even triple the exports . The incentives are severely under utilised by industry players
