We should be very careful with FTA with EU. Even if you sign the pact there is no reason to believe EU will play by the rules. They are notorious when it comes to bureaucracy. For example, they will say EU countries can freely import Basmati rice into EU. However, they will put a condition that imported rice should not have too much of some chemical during testing.
Two aromatic basmati rice varieties -- PB1 and 1401 -- are maximum exported to the EU. The shipments of these varieties with Tricyclazole MRL at 0.03 mg per kg were accepted so far from India.

We should not give into their other stupid demands which is basically interfering in our country. We should not become a dumping ground for EU products. Our FTA's with Korea and Japan have been a disaster. I hope we thread carefully with any kind of trade agreements with EU and US.
