Ya'll Mahindra tried to do that with XUV and it didn't worked.Nah, release new products in quick succession each two or three months with one engine as a base, focus more on visuals and some really practical equipments like usb-c, bluetooth coupling, bringing electric two wheelers technologies, larger space for luggage than competition, etc.
They used to do these type of quick launches during their venture with honda back in the day.
What about royal enfield haldi? They are doing same I think.Ya'll Mahindra tried to do that with XUV and it didn't worked.

does this mean 2011 price ratios are no longer in sync with current prices?
Possibly the case case here. Broadly speaking, 2011 base fell out of sync long back (stuffs like e-commerce/ride sharing were still in their infancy; do not think the current GDP series fully captures their contribution). Lot of work needs to be done at the MoSPI and the NSO.
Fire breaks out at Tata Electronics manufacturing unit in Tamil Nadu's Hosur

1. Hero-Honda
2. Bajaj-Kawasaki
3. TVS-Suzuki
These JV happened in 80s and 90s and our players quickly learn the latest tech and were able to implement in their own products.
