Its infrastructure spending not abstract, in 3 billion USD Microsoft will barely be able to set up basic commercial computing capacity to train basic LLMs.

Reliance seems to be more serious here with better checkbook.
I'm back again with some thoughts. Soft Power is often seen as something that is vital to a country's success in the 21st century.
Other countries Japan, Western countries and most recently China are able to monetize their cultures and gods stories very well. Everyone in the world is somewhat familiar with Norse, Greek mythology. Popular Marvel characters are based on these mythologies and these have helped create many industries be it video games, movies and television shows along with a world that is more familiar with these stories.
More recently China were able to bring out their adaptation of Journey to the West. This is a story coming out from China and one that every chinese kid reads if you're unfamiliar with this think of something like Dragonball that is very loosely based on this.
The result Dragonball Franchise has earned over roughly $23 Billion over the years.
Marvel, Disney all have used works in the public domain, Fairy tails, Mythologies to generate massive amounts of revenue and became the titans of the industry.
Coming back to our country we have so many stories and cultures to showcase to the world but apart from loose adaptations of Mahabharat and Ramayana we really have nothing to showcase. I would argue our best adaptation of Ramayana came from Japan itself.

We really need our film industries, Television industries, Comic book industries and hopefully our Video game industries to be able to tap into our rich history and tell stories that resonate around the world.
