Noida Airport is focused on freights transport more than the passenger traffic. It can manage with the one terminal for some time.
in long term it is focused on passenger traffic, it has vision to have 3+ terminal along with 3 terminals of delhi igi. but in short term it may be cargo as public transport connectivity is negative. its literally 2 hours from igi. 90 kms from there, noida airport is not even in noida lol, leave aside the target audience of delhi and ncr. metro/rrts and bullet train are still atleast 7-8 years away. metro dpr is there, bullet train construction would start only after whole mahsr is ready and when it starts giving data. metro/rrts is minimum 5 years away, idk who will use this for domestic flight, for ex if you want to go from noida to mumbai, flight costs 3500-4000, but the taxi from delhi to jewar would cost half of it. here in mumbai i pay 1000 rs for taxi to airport which is nearly 30 kms.

i am praying that noida airport expansion plans and phases dont get cancelled due to initial low response. noida needs to expand towards jewar side and metro should be brought asap for this airport route, and not only airport to airport.

They may have projected significant potential for the airport initially, but in practice, it will face considerable challenges in diverting substantial passenger traffic from IGI.
Even though I reside in Greater Noida, Jewar Airport is actually farther for me than IGI, and it currently lacks regular and convenient connectivity to the main city.

the biggest issue is this, maybe those who book international flights worth 40-50k can spend extra 2-3k for taxi, but for domestic ops, its a big L

here in mumbai, even if navi mumbai airport is 30-40 km far, like max 1.5 hours, they are still doing rr that how can they demolish t1, why should we go to navi mumbai to catch flights, its logical for those who reside in virar, borivali and maybe thane too, but its illogical that rest of the mumbai is crying, we wont go to navi mumbai. navi mumbai airport is well connected by atal setu to south mumbai at sewri side of mumbai port. easily the people of dadar, parel, worli can go to navi mumbai. as for rest of mumbai, they can come from vashi bridge and then palm beach which is toll free.
