can we cancel the agreement with zurich somehow? even aai did better work in patna airport with elevated road. imagine if adani gets the noida airport and hires zaha hadid for further terminal designs. this place can become an international travel hub.
I was expecting more on the lines of BLR T2, but both NMIA & Jewar terminals look like generic glass slabs. Sigh.

bruh, have you seen renders of nmia? its designed by zaha hadid, its freaking magnificent piece of art. better than csmia t2 and blr t2. noida is a generic airport, ig they are doing pilot trial, they dont wanna take risk with a huge investment.

just take a look at nmia. no need to argue

Ya'll Nibbiars the NIA is getting issues One after another,

1 . First wrong operator Zurich.

2 . The simple design with no Eleveated road and less number of jet bridges.

3 . And choosing Chinese steel over Indian by Zurich.

4 . The fourth due to that construction getting delayed,

5 . And now effectively demolishing economic growth around the airport.

How not to built a airport 101.

With this 10 KM construction ban is effectively destroyed, construction happen all across the world within few meters of Airport this is pure BS and nothing else.

They are restraining legal construction everyone knows how obtaining NOC from AAI, DGCA and other regulators is almost impossible in this case and illegal will still construct without fear of the law due to obvious reasons. So this will only stop the organized development and will encourage unauthorized ones.

If true, this airport project is completely gone. They were planning to develop this as a hub airport, with maintenance operations, so that international tourists can do layovers and also as a huge cargo terminal to support all the new electronics cluster coming up in NCR. How on earth will that business model work if nothing can be built within 10 kms radius.

Ya'll Nibbiars while low lying structures may get premission after a lengthy process, but the hopes of any Aerotropolis or CBD is as good as gone case.

In my opinion, BLR T2 looks distinct, both from inside & outside. So does Kochi to a large extent. Every other new airport has the "generic new airport" aesthetic. Mopa, T3 IGI, T2 MUM, Hyd, Kolkata etc. Just my opinion.

maybe you visit some ultra aesthatic airports around the world too often, that you find indian marvels less aesthetic, typical colonial mindset.

i found mumbai t2 the most aesthetic with blr t2 and hyd t2 coming close second, delhi t1 after renovation is also aesthatic now. yes kolkata is generic glass airport, but it is old. nmia, when it would open would be the most aethetic airport in india. if you think all these aint good then i dont know what your reaction would when you would see the old patna airport terminal.
