and one more doubt, can someone shed some light on why we aint getting any destroyer in the remaining decade??? timelines are telling that maybe p18 would come by 2033 and looking at the commendable speed of construction of warships from indian shipyards, idts it would be rude to consider 2035 for p18 induction and that too the first vessel of p18 class

one more doubt, are we working on any awacs type system, pls forgive me i dont know the name of this type of system, which can operate from carriers??

and one more doubt, are working on indigenous solution for asw just like p8i, like mounting it on an a320 or any other aircraft or helicopter

Navy is likely focusing on getting more smaller displacement vessel in short term, offensive action doesn't need big ships, missile boats do the job just fine, but you do need destroyers and frigates for overall operation. friagtes are being order in decent numbers, plus we don't know when orders will be placed, P-18 order will probably come in next 3-4 years.

i dont know why the navy is using some old radars on it, some were saying that to cut costs many 1980 era radars were used

and will we get indigenous mfstar in p18?

New radars are already done being made, what kind of subsystem is implemented on ships is usually determined way before metal cutting, most of our current ships were on designed during 2014-16, actually nilgiri class frigate use all modern radars.

i have seen on iah of saurav jha that kaveri and rd33 have similar dimensions and thrust, so will it be possible to replace them and refit mig29k with indian subsytems?
