4) indigenous missile boats and asw corvettes
5) upgrade/refit of older ships
6) all 4 ssbn operationalised
7) no more mistakes from navy personnel which causes loss of vessels
8) rafale m

pls add any other imp indigenous project if i missed anything

hail navyyyy

and one more doubt, can someone shed some light on why we aint getting any destroyer in the remaining decade??? timelines are telling that maybe p18 would come by 2033 and looking at the commendable speed of construction of warships from indian shipyards, idts it would be rude to consider 2035 for p18 induction and that too the first vessel of p18 class

one more doubt, are we working on any awacs type system, pls forgive me i dont know the name of this type of system, which can operate from carriers??

and one more doubt, are working on indigenous solution for asw just like p8i, like mounting it on an a320 or any other aircraft or helicopter

Navy is likely focusing on getting more smaller displacement vessel in short term, offensive action doesn't need big ships, missile boats do the job just fine, but you do need destroyers and frigates for overall operation. friagtes are being order in decent numbers, plus we don't know when orders will be placed, P-18 order will probably come in next 3-4 years.

i dont know why the navy is using some old radars on it, some were saying that to cut costs many 1980 era radars were used

and will we get indigenous mfstar in p18?

New radars are already done being made, what kind of subsystem is implemented on ships is usually determined way before metal cutting, most of our current ships were on designed during 2014-16, actually nilgiri class frigate use all modern radars.

i have seen on iah of saurav jha that kaveri and rd33 have similar dimensions and thrust, so will it be possible to replace them and refit mig29k with indian subsytems?

36000 cr for 3 kalvari reorder??? are we missing something?? will mazgaon dock restart the line?? or the kalvari reorder is some next gen thing??

some sources said that tkms 6 subs would cost 75-80k cr so why not buy their 3 more subs? type 214 is much better than scorpene right?? and both of them would come at a similiar timeline

TKMS is a new custom design which will take some time plus may have teething issues once built.

3 more Kalvari are slightly longer but overall the same existing Kalvari, so it's "proven" that way since it's already in service and will help pad the numbers since most of our subs are from 80s and 90s, 40 years is too much for a submarine hull so we need quick replacements.

You ask me it should have been 6 more, not 3 but then the Frenchmen are the biggest blood-sucking dhandhos imaginable.

i was shocked that sub is same, the same 2005-2010 tech with not even aip coming in 36k cr for 3 subs

and 26 rafale m at 60k+ cr, at this rate i am sure frenchies will take kashmir in exchange for 114 rafale under mrfa

We will be fitting our own DRDO developed fuel-cell AIP with on board hydrogen generator.
You are crying about AIP but since 2005-2010 the only fuel-cell AIP was the Siemens AIP used in Type 214.

Admirals were offered some steam engine type AIP the French had hacked up( as in from their nuclear generation, but without nuclear to generate the steam ) with the original order but they rejected it because it makes a lot of noise, same AIP was sold to Piglets who now gloat about it like they have a nuclear powered sub :bplease:

Admirals wanted fuel-cell AIP only, mainly because it is the quietest in operation.

As of now many other merchants are available including the French, but theirs isn't proven, and the Koreans who have it installed but for whatever reason Navy didn't want their German-clone submarines.

The other AIP is the Stirling engine based, this also makes noise but is widely used, Swedes made the first AIP using this tech, they licensed it to the Japanese and then the Chongs stole it and use this mechanism for their submarines, but Chings are also moving to FC-AIP now with onboard hydrogen generator.

i am not telling that we should have imported the aip, but does this 36000 cr include the cost of adding aip in 6+3 scorpenes

ps: brigadier pratap pls dont leak sensitive information
