AERB has cleared the location for four 700 MWe IPHWRs at MBRAPP near Napla, Rajasthan.

This is the first licensing step after site studies (geo, hydro, rad, soil).

The project is part of a 10-unit fleet model, to be built by ASHVINI.

The Gorakhpur GHAVP plant will have 4×700 MWe IPHWRs in two phases. Unit 1 starts concrete pour in October 2025, with operation by March 2031; Unit 2 follows six months later. Units 3 and 4 will be built in Phase 2 under fleet mode.
