what are the best arguments you have come across in pop culture, that can convert the group you are referring to from useful idiots to useful nationalists?

skip the ones that ask for selfless service to the nation, obviously that does not apply to this group.

realistically nothing, strict surveillance of these babus and their activities is required as a hard solution. I don't know why BBC and a bunch of these western portals aren't getting dildoed , USAID debacle is perfect reason to go after them.

that's not the question i had asked.

the system accounts for inefficiencies and builds contingencies. when they do something, they account for all these inefficiencies and interferences. what we hear as news are only the ones where a new kind of interference has not been accounted for is in play. since the newswallahs will not tell you success stories, public will not get to know about it outside of those who are benefited first hand.

justin rowlatt a bbc reporter(great grandson of the guy who created rowlatt act) misreported on assam rhino conservation, he was kicked out. you know where he was posted next? antarctica. look it up. if you are relying on news wallahs to tell you these things, you are being naive about the way the world works.

I found some articles on that incident, nothing on his wikipedia page strangely enough , also has piece about "what isro and street children have in common."

An Active cabinet member or any bureaucrat in service must refrain from sending their kids abroad.
Foreign intelligence agencies love to exploit their kids, thus forcing these guys in delhi to dance on their tunes or worse sabotage anything that isnt in western interests... either hand over ur passports or resign...

is there some sort of hitherto unknown mental block in Indian minds, that there is total lack of awareness of grasping the idea of "converting" someone?

If I understood ur question correctlyy....my answer is...its easier to trap a person/ servicemen who are willing to put self-interest higher than national interest are an easy asset to cultivate...this has nothing to do with individuals political leaning.

let's say such a guy is infront you and he is your friend you are meeting after a long time,
let's say your task is to change his mind from being a useful idiot to a useful nationalist,
for the purpose of our conversation, what the system should do and not do is not in scope.

what do you think your best argument to convert that fellow form a useful idiot to a useful nationalist would be?

because the other side, have an whole well funded global setup that converts nationalists into useful idiots.

that's tricky situation.
Other side provides better life-style for their kids....other than improving our living condition there is nothing we could do...
difficult to convince my friend to not to settle his kids abroad..blind nationalism wont work eveyrtime....

we are just ordinary people, we don't have the skills to come up with solutions. but we rely on popular culture to see what others are doing.

have you come across any ideas or opinions that will help you in such a situation that i have described earlier?

low hanging QoL issues in India are easy to solve, delhi's AQI issue internal, our cities look so shit cause there is no management and most of the time urban areas can't spend their own funds. fixing trash situation alone would improve our QoL and also general image of India drastically, but alas we can only hope

I have personally asked municipal workers who pick-up trash from door to door about what they do with it, reply was they dump it in some pit which is no that from area, they separate organic and inorganic waste just for show when MLA or higher babus visit the area, cause other times everything gets dumped together.

Funny thing is sometimes its not even a pit, they just pile it up in a place and all it takes in one gust of wind to put all those plastic stuff back into residential area. at least you know all stray cattle will eat up organic wastes like vegetable peels.

these guys are not motivated to work at all, lower levels guys like trash collectors are paid almost nothing and often have to get their own vehicle to collect trash, I've seen some collecting trash in giant sacks and other in trash bin tied to bicycles. municipal officers only care about senior visits where they will gather up these trash collectors for photo shoots.
