1. Can we do something regarding Curvature? like straightening of tracks
2. What can be maximum speeds if tracks are too unviable to be straightened?
3. Is 150 to 180 KMPH Possible on present Curvatures? Could having quicker acceleration reduce times?
I genuinely appreciate how you guys can keep explaining the same thing over and over and over again to some esteemed armchair experts who have never gone through a budget doc in their entire life.
Yes, everyone is reporting about it now:News coming that now only confirmed ticket will allow to enter railway station. Already NDLS started it as a pilot project.

Exactly what we were discussing and proposing.
Selling that many tickets and allowing that many people inside a railway station never made any sense.

What happens to those who can't read and are elderly, who will get them seated at their seats and what if someone else is sitting on their seat and they are alone?
And what happens if train is late as we already have congested waiting rooms even platforms are crowded to the brim at many stations how will they accommodate extra crowd? Will that not repeat what has happened previously?
And that can't be implemented like airports it's simple as that, stations have way more crowd than airports at any given time.
This is why I hate these half hearted solutions and their implementations without thinking on any of the scenarios.

But will this not create more issues than we already face while using train? You can't plan each and everything in advance. You have to educate people.
No it will not generate any goodwill, try boarding a train when it only stops for 2 min at any station, and train stations don't have that much space you can't create space on the fly and majority of the airports are outside city where they can be expanded, try doing that with stations.Same as in airports.
If it works in airports, a model that fits the needs as well as cater to the volume of Railways can be done.
In fact if the govt is smart this can generate few thousands of jobs in just railways.
A whole new sector in Railways that caters to and helps passengers in Railway stations.
It will be 2 positive things for BJP, it generates employment and it generates good will.

Already going by train is task itself.
I have also been travelling alone but it's not about me or you. I am not talking about us who can read and even fight if there is need. Then let it happened for some time. Let people suffer for few months and then they will eventually get used to new rules.
I have been travelling alone since ages. I have been traveling alone to and from railway stations, airports, and bus depots since the age of 14 or 15.
Women in the family also travels alone as much as possible usually only 1 member accompanies them to the stations.

Do airports get same number of passengers as stations?

when it comes to IR, it's not just about speed, it's also about density and congestion. so adding tracks at high density routes is also one of the things being done. What NHAI is doing with greenfield express ways is what Indian railways has to do. Build new high speed corridors 250 kmph greenfield tracks between major metroplis ( Mumbai - Delhi / Mumbai - Bengaluru / Mumbai- Kolkata Delhi - Kolkata ) and run semi high speed trains as point to point travel with fewer stops) The existing infrastructure can be gradually upgraded to 160 kmph to support the present operational trains and cover small towns) this will make IR faster and also doesn’t strain the infrastructure.
