@BlackViking bhau i remember some amreeki manufacturer making this thing around 2010 times at least

notice it's similar concept, but he made it hinged by sacrificing AK's iron sight while providing a well adjustable peep sight at base of the rail itself, plus it locks on the rear trunnion through that captive pin

if you're into manufacturing, assume that they'll eventually go for FAB style buttstock adapter or AR buffer tube adaptor stock, then make some sort of lock for rear trunnion on rail piece, rest you can think some ideas yourself

also for more reference, just search 'ak beryl rail' on google and you'll find other such rails too, for example this one here

BTW, are there any reviews for these products? While this appears to be an easy solution, I feel like it will have some challenges.

Mfg problem: It's a fairly long but slender component.
Structural: Sagging
User problem: How easy is this to use in case of clearing jams/field stripping.

well i don't know about reviews on websites but do search on youtube as much as you can about actual beryl and such rails,
otherwise rest of the world has shifted to integrated top rail dust cover thing because it's easier solution, but then again AK platform is such that there will be some 'play' on dust cover after some disassembly - making it less accurate with optics atop - i also suspect AK-203i would eventually require some maintenance with its top covers in some years
so yeah

So, if accuracy and holding zero are important, a durable rear rail system for AKs cannot be produced without sacrificing some requirements.

ah no, i meant it in general that AK platform itself isn't accurate as other rifles, even the best galil and finnish builds have issues and there's a limit with upgrades here

@johny_baba @VictorDelta4 @Corvus Splendens I wanted some suggestions from y'all on this. Everything on the bare AK is self-designed and fabricated
yeah i saw that before, seems pretty standard kit to me, if they throw muh weight restrictions etc then it's possible to create stamped sheet metal handguards (with required reinforcements in place) to shed some weight here and there, rest rails can be milled and affixed with rivets or bolts on it (after all a top rail on that upper handguard around its gas tube is pretty much useless for most things as optics that far is not happening much, barely a reddot at maximum - and 3,6,9 positions are mostly to affix non-precision aiming things anyways)
if you guys can make it, offer a muzzle device similar to AK-203 with kit
