Unless this helmet is as good as the latest IHPS of US army which can stop 7.62×39mm and 5.56 nato round at 20m, it won't be as good as patka for anti terror ops.
Most military helmets in service today are only capable of stopping pistol caliber and sharpnel, even IHPS hasn't been widely adopted yet in us army, will take another 2-3 years for it to get 100% adopted by US army.

Patka on the other hand can stop an ak round from close distance at front, while it provides similar pistol and sharpnel protection as modern ballistic helmets on sides and back, though no top protection.

So if you have a normal modern ballistic helmet an ak round unless very far can easily penetrate from any side and kill you.
In case of patka you are atleast protected from the round from the front.

Ps:- there are also steel core/ anti armour version of rounds that can get past patka and IHPS.


As for the plates inside the carrier, it is unless what protection level they are rated.


So just because you see a modern looking gear doesn't mean its better.

Most of the modern "looking" gear is more ergonomic and helps in increasing efficiency. Aesy you can still be using the harnesses used in the rhodesian war and get successful results, the thing is.... are you trying to increase the efficiency by reducing unnecessary movements ? Plate carriers nowadays are not bulky and layered like the ones that were there in 2000s.

All of the next level of aircraft, comms, research, vehicles, weaponary and platforms are developed there. Russia and China are replicating their model. I'm Not trying to blackpill here
