I have been vocalizing this for a long time. Special forces training school needs to be in jammu and kashmir not himachal.. no matter how much similarity in terrain, J&K is J&K. You need to operate here for years in order to understand each trails, mountain caves, angles of shootings from tops.. ask the veterans who survived

What about the troops being deployed in and beyond Manipur, Arunachal, Sikkim, Bhutan etc? SFTS is not meant for teaching just CI-CT tactics. They mainly teach courses for additional specializations for troops i.e Demolition, CQB, Marksmanship, Sniper, Firearms, Commnications, Freefall, Reconnaisance, Target designation etc.

Yep the pc setup was similar .
Generally setup can be divided into categories
1. Ultra light/minimalistic .. a rig or slick PC with 3 mags , 4 at max
Best for light engagements and undercover ops .


Medium/Standard Plate Carriers:
Also includes things like medical , radio etc . 4-6 mags generally . Enough to sustain for a regular op with support .

Heavy Plate Carrier Setup :
For heavy combat , may have side plates and abdomen protection . 6+ mags on PC


( something like this but in full loadout .... with 6 mags , radio , nades etc )
