Indian Special Forces

Anybody can tell me who lased/designated the target when the IAF M2Ks were bombing peaks during Op Safed Sagar?

What?

In this video you can very clearly see the flashing L of the LITENING targeting pod which means it was the targeting pod that was lasing with the laser in combat mode, which means you could not do that if you were in laser search and track mode, i.e tracking someone else's laser.

Also I've not heard of them utilzing Para SF for any such operation even in several podcasts(like the Blue Skies Podcast) so if I have some gaps in my knowledge do let me know

Mate this video is only one of the several bombing runs carried out by the M2Ks, Ik litening pods were used for both Recce and Targeting. My point was it was not just the fighter jets alone which were lasing the targets for th LGBs. SF and even Arty chaps we doing that on ground at some instances!:D

Yeah that's fair. Thought you meant about Tiger Hill

The Frostguard Mk.1 jacket is bloody good. It got warm fast and I didn't even have to close the zippers. Speaking of the zippers, they are real good quality, smooth. Pockets are tough as hell as well.

As for the Crusader Mk.2 pants, they are stupid comfortable. Pockets are great, zippers again top notch, ankle strings don't come loose once you tighten them, and I just went out on a light run wearing these.

Good things have already been said here for the Mistral Mk. 1 tees and I have nothing new to add. Overall everything I bought, I highly recommend.
Thank you was looking for a good warm jacket will go for it

I never heard of it..you can please share the details.
Here's a quick summary:-

The plan for assault on Shangruti Heights in Batalik was laid hastily as the pressure increased on then 70th Inf Brgd Cdr to reclaim the heights ASAP. Northern Command picked 10SF from Rajasthan and 5 PARA from the 50th PARA Brgd(which was already fighting in Kargil and Drass Sectors). With the most shitty INT, SF as spearhead and Airborne as the holding element was literally shoved in the battlefield, majority of casualties were SF troops falling from heights and severe breathing issues due to no acclimatization period. 2-3 men from 10SF fell into deep gorges(bodies still missing). The assault party had to retreat and replan the assault.

That & another one in which they fired a RL and gave away their position, ig - senior journo Vikramjit Singh wrote this.

Also I do remember Maj Walia captured Zulu top with his men.

Feel like Para's account in Kargil hasn't been recorded properly. Or declassified!

Zulu spur op continued till 2003..maybe that is where SG was involved with 9 para.

Just because we are talking about 9 Para SF & Zulu spur
9 Para were tasked to flush out enemy at the heights of Zulu Spur. Past attempts had failed and it was only after 9 Para SF “A” team intervened under the legendary Pirate Major Sudhir Kumar Walia on 24 July 1999 that the Zulu top was captured for which Major Sudhir got AC.
