Kamikaze is a really strong word
No professional military does that sort of thing. There's no documentation available on that would be TASMO(anti naval strike) mission, but the word of a guy like elite predators - what I am guessing was likely the plan, was to send over planes in separate groups - aerial escort, planes that carried anti naval munitions like torpedoes or bombs, and even more aerial fighters
It likely would not have succeeded even if they went ahead with it, because we simply did not match up to what technology the Americans had in terms of electronic warfare and radar(heck, we still couldn't do night ops in 1971) We had absolute balls of steel yes that was true. There's also news about US being concerned of getting stuck in a new guerlla warfare after just having all that in Vietnam at the time cause they'd heard that Indian and Bangladeshi frogmen were sinking alot of ships. Again we cannot confirm if it's true that the Americans knew about it. So my advice is that do good research, check primary sources, and dont just take words from these big accounts for granted, ek bari is chomu ne apne insta pe bhi Syrian civil war ki video ko J/K bataya tha
Ismei bhi he confused the identity of one MARCO KIA to another...."MARCOS lost U.C. Panigrahi, he was shot dead by a headshot just after he left his vehicle."
No that was not the case....U.C Panigrahi's citation speaks that he was injured multiple gunshot wounds and died while facing enemy combatants in the thick dense jungles...he broke cover and diverted the attention of the enemy to himself...
As far as the vehicluar ambush, that was I guess a year later MARCOS BG Power died while rescuing a wounded buddy pulling him out of the vehicle (from the interview of Joginder SIngh on Bijay Nair's channel, that wounded buddy was from 2 Para and also scumbbed to his injuries)
