Indian Special Forces

[Not a flamebait] The aura with which MARCOS entered the encounter scene yesterday, I thought ops will be finished within 2 hours.

PARA boys unnecessarily get hate for first-light encounters and dragging their feets :(

We all know that, MARCOS are perfectly capable of operating at night. Most probably, it was Army's call for first-light op as, other units were also involved.

What he is glorifying jholachap pc and vz 58 he might as well glorify no armour and lee enfield as comfortable and deadly (but lee enfield actually is deadly in mid-long ranges )
VZ58s being light and ergonomic are deadly even by todays standards. Can’t agree with that vest setup though as more ergonomic options are in use and available in India.

I totally agree vz 58 is still deadly but in terms of modern standard it have close to no modularity

Due to logistics.

Intel,Food,shelter.transport,maintenance,electricity,water etc.
Again proving that owning the night requires 180 deg change in thinking across entire IA. Slapping an NVG onto a soldier (which though a welcome start) doesn't translate into night ops. Marcos might be fuming at being not allowed to contine ops at night knowing full well they could have eliminated the yahoos by using the darkness ?

Its been a while guys.
Today's footage of MARCOS made my day, couldn't be more happy 😄.

Take a look at this, a bit old pic of MARCOS in Kashmir (correct me, if i am wrong). Take a look at their gears and equipments.

Our great general of the heavens must have decided in their star-reaching wisdom that night visions are not necessary either.

Its not somehting as simple as putting nods on a few soldiers. Night Fighting in a Combined Arms Enviornment starts from the ground up.

Every Leg of the CA has to be able to shoot, scoot and communicate under the cover of darkness. Can they? - Have they been trained for that

- Can our ISR operate at night ? - Do we have effective comms for Multiple Units converging in one AO linking to realtime Intel - How muc have we trained for this?

Do we have a logistics chain to support night operations - Not just Batteries for the NODS - but Guns, Ammo, Medicare etc etc has to move at night and keep pace with the operatoins - Can they?
