no....they dont. Look at the pic below he's not wearing them. He wore them during the speech and for occational purposes. It's not that during actual ops they'd be wearing those tabs to show their rank. I think this low profile system works pretty well

trying to accurately shoot while handling that recoil would just result in a really bad back

We should consider the men deployed in Kashmiri encounters to benchmark what an average Para guy looks like. This is from an encounter earlier this year and some of em look borderline malnourished
