You just have to add pvs31 or tata rajak nods
Or pvs 14 or tonbo spartan thermals in this photo
Headset might vary or diff in diff units but mostly I see chances of silynx clarus in ear , invisiyo t 7 over ear and otto 20m diver head set

I think this is more than decent
I think pvs 31 is good but it is bit older what about enhanced nvg with ti fusion i know drdo is working on it and getting tata rajak is a big upgrade fir para sf

Thermal are alot cheaper than nvg and lot more useful in combat i think thermal clip on should be given as std to every sf and ghatak operator

(For context
Nvg is useful in navigation and thermal in detection)

overall I see bright future

On camofage indian armed forces including sf will remain mr worldwide getting camp from all over the world and using them instead of actual std camo

With thermals you can still navigate but with NVGs you cannot detect.

NVGs take you from point A to point B and in between you can scan using a Thermal to check if you are not being ambushed or followed.

The best combo is NVG on your head and Thermal on your rifle..even if you have no NVG and can navigate with your eyes and have a thermal on your rifle you are still good.

You can also use Thermals to detect IED as various parts have different relation with temperate like Batteries vs soil or grass.

The thing is NSG's AoR in Pan-India AFA we've seen. So it just doesn't matter which type of heptr they're using unless or until it hinders their Ops. Also, they mostly use Mi-17V1/5s or IAF and BSF but other aircraft are always available for em. From what I have observed is that they use Mi-17s specifically for its capacity, it can carry atleast 3-4 HITS in one go, now compare that to ALH or any other Light Heptr.
Given how the common the MI-17 is around India it can’t be ignored and yes it has a decent airlift capacity but in terms of insertion the UH-60 beats it- the -17 is a huge lumbering thing

For tactical insertion the UH-60 is the best compromise between raw performance and uplift capability:

Of course a LOT of this is also because the US has dedicated tactical insertion pilots (SOAR) that throw their machines around expertly- when the NSG needs a helo the get regular HU pilots that are mostly
Used to going from A to B and that’s about it

Anyway this is all irrelevant, India is never going to order UH-60s for such a niche role. NSG should at least look at starting their own airwing with some ALHs based at each of their hubs

I don’t get it, do MARCOs only have 1 multicam uniform set that onto gets rolled out annually for the navy day event? Literally never seen otherwise- not in Kashmir, not in VBSS ops ok the gulf, not in interdiction missions on the coast of India

It really pi$$es me off that the Indian military is on North Korean and Soviet levels of propaganda - keeping parade standard equipment only for a few public events and then operating with the worst cr@p in service in the world.

Even here it’s obvious it’s all just for show- no IR strobes or proper wire management at all, but ok sure they look good on the ‘gram

Marcos pistol pics are rare... First time I'm seeing a proper pistol stance from an Indian SF unit

I guess Marcos have always been good with pistols.. there used to be a really old video on YouTube of Marcos floating around where one of the assaulters does a roll over a bar and immediately goes into a pistol firing stance.. haven't been able to find that video ever since
Really? 1970s US cop stance seems to point to something else

After seeing both pictures. I don't think we will ever be able to match others aesthetically. Let's be honest, there is not a lot of difference in equipment. A delta force lad from 2000s will still look better than our lads today in most photos for some reason. There's just something that is missing
The something missing is- professionalism

High cuts exist because of US tier 1 units; they started to wear COMTACs under their ACHs during early days of GWOT but as they found this uncomfortable began cutting their ACHs into a high cut shape, OEMs came along and created a commercial version of this.

What are Indian units doing but blindly aping what they see others doing? LARPing but with less interest than actual LARPers. Everything on a Western SOF has a purpose and form follows function, Indian units are merely trying to *look* the part

It blows my mind that they appear so amateur after 20+++ years of actual CT experience but this goes deep into cultural differences that I don’t want to start right now

Suffice to say Indian units want to look the part, others are the part.
