well before 9/11 they used to present arms, infact SAS does demonstrations in Hereford yearly, however they are never publicised.
I genuinely don’t think the Indian security mind can comprehend the US military let alone JSOC, the lengths they go to train are otherworldly by Indian standards, the skills these boys develop and enhance over decades whilst Indian units are spit shining their boots for parade duties or launching CASOs

There's this ex MARCO chap who recently appeared on millitarymantra he said the Jap SOF and SoKo guys have good drills and are as good as anybody out there he trained with. The thing is, this I have heard from an Ex Green Beret also and an ex Delta guy 'Geo Hand' that these two SOFs need to look good and thus want to know everything about the mission prior, slight change in planning and their op goes south. My take is that it is basically steming from their dependence on going with the flow when they can predict what's to come, their martial arts are also heavily influenced on Kata, save for Kudo - that's a bit more MMAish

there's way more shit we know about these units than we should going by what you wrote above. Lemme drop an example - An Indian kid who has spent more than enough time surfing threads related to these units can tell the squadron and tasking of a CAG operator just by looking at his callsign.

bro we needed to raise Adhoc units like Gen Bakshi's TSD because even after decades our capability in joint training and intellegence driven special operations was so limited, support ke naam pe our guys only have experience calling RR in Kashmir what more do you expect, even to that, TSD was unfairly treated.

That's the problem of over-operating in homeland. Local appeasement (which does make sense to a particular extent) has lead to creation of insane SOP/TTP that most of the members here have figured out.
