I think paras should be made something like the rangers collectively all the sf/airborne units as you said and a separate SF Team like the Delta should be made that’s consists the best of best from the para sf with the strength of around 2500-3000.

Unlike western SF our SF will never operate on foreign land as per our foreign policy.

I don't want a glorious battalion like 9th to end this pathetically. Nah we don’t need separate units just make one with best of the best out of either the training or through performance in The Paras.
And our foreign policy does require a team like deltas our NSS states its DEFENCE OFFENSIVE rather than just DEFENSIVE there is a difference.
Like now keep 50-60k troops in Para airborne or whatever you call it for CI/CT,Airborne missions etc etc and keep 2.5k-3k troops for cross border raids and SpecOps in the same category as MARCOS&GARUDS.It will easier to manage and modernise

The kind of shit they have been doing in Iraq and handling ISIS in syria since 2 decades lol, while our men are getting killed by new gen jihadis just because they raised their iq and aren't fidayeen mode anymore, can you imagine how many of our guys will get beheaded every day if we were deployed in syria lmao. So my view is we don't need that elite unit because their training budget alone exceeds whole indian SF budget lol.. each operator gets custom kit custom guns.. idhr standardization ho jaye helmets APC and guns ki vhi boht hai

We changed our foreign policy in NSS in 2014 itself doval’s doctrine has mentioned India can use preemptive strikes against any threats.

pvs 31 with clip on ecoti will be around 18 to 20k usd but the overlay is on one eye only , also it is heavy and cumbersome as fuck .


cost of ENVG-B is not public but expect around 30k usd

You need to understand the difference here-
When the delta force or seals conduct a mission it’s a FOREIGN TERRITORY they have AIR SUPPORT,INT SUPPORT and a constant Monitoring when ever they are in a bit of struggle they blow everything up I will explain this with one example

Green Berets got surrounded NO AIR/GROUND SUPPORT and what was the results they were executed from point blank and the videos were released if you want to compare deltas with paras first of all the comparison doesn’t make sense because the mission they conduct is on enemy territory and they don’t give a fuck about collateral damage we are fighting in our own territory like it or not surrounded by our own people you can’t carpet bomb the entire area.
