This ain't just learning from exercises Mann para sf also trains with green berets. These things are just formality. Real Training is always long and with proper instructors and planning. I suspect they have hired some guys or brought them for some time or sent their own to their training facilities for months... and actually its the british I suspect more than Americans lol

These guys are not hollywood made stories.. anybody who thinks so is a fool of highest order. These guys are product of decades of planning, modernization, proper training and evolving with every chance possible. All those ops are real. Yes they killed osama going hundreds of kms inside pakistan undetected and left without shedding a drop of blood. These are DEVGRU

I'm gonna ask a very simple question. Why does everything they do look so different from their army and airforce counterparts? And before you say so, no I'm not exaggerating. Everything down to the way they move looks very different from other indian SF units. Could be possible marcos has hired foreign instructors no? Not that I'm saying local guys aren't enough but taking help from those who have seen GWOT level combat is always a plus point to get ready for 21st century combat.. plus I don't think they would mind if paid good unless their native govt restrict them somehow.

yeah this I posted on the former DFI once, it's from the book Balidaan. 9 Para and MARCOS did this joint exercise but see, MARCOS began changing after 2008, alot has changed now. Old school Para were a bread apart and Mahendra worked with John De Britto, Sudhir Walia, Jasrotia, etc... even Major Jacob and Ln Naik Mohan Nath Goswami. Dude has been at the top of the game. By the way he did mention that everyone's a master in their own domain.

"Navy SF guys are better in water and Army SF is better on land" this shows that it's the same operative now if you keep him exposed to water for longer part of his career that's his speciality right there, if you keep him exposed to CQB / Anti hijacking scenarios for longer and make his equipment and training for that specifically you'd be NSG, keep the same type of guy in deserts, you have 10 Para, and so and so. 21 is for NE, 9 is for Kashmir. They all are deadly in combat but the environment they specialize in determines alot.

They have been doing Exercises with their other counterparts around the world you take good points from them but don't learn this level of control and familiarity with the tactics "you just got to know about in joint ex" I will just say this much.

As Spadex said you need to know your weapon to this stuff so I will not be surprised if he just finds it more comfortable and better held while tilting it which he randomly found out but iam pretty sure they are getting some excellent training from outside.

Sri Lanka was the thing! That showed MARCOS that they are an effective fighting force and showed Para SF that they need to be an effective fighting force in the new theatre of warfare. That did happen and Paras took their operations to a whole new level
