SSG handles 3 theates on a daily basis and they are their Para Comando,NSG as well as the right arm of ISI as well.

On paper they do ops which the SF should do unlike ours.

Major achievement was underground work against soviet forces.

Their synergy with their ISI is anyday better than what we can dream for the AFSOD.

LOC is full of ISI and SSG operators and thats what keeps their picture going.

Bro, why complicate things when cheap and simple alternatives already exists. Its common sense really.

Because that cheap and simple will mean carrying an additional 20+kg small mortar along with carrying an 7-8kg carl gustav in your buggy.
By modifying that gustav, a single 8-10 kg system can be used for both purposes depending on which round you put in it.

With new weapon (most likely arad ) i have hope we will maybe get laser aiming module as standard or if plr give them With new mepro mor pro with then its gonna get same as before
Most probably army brass doesn't want lam because big numbers of mepro mor pro with tavors

Any idea which Spetz unit ? Highly doubt it's a frontline SOF unit. If this is the headshed . Don't they have a war to fight ?

This is the Armenian Spetsnaz.

Mepro Mor Pro was procured so that they don't have to buy a seperate LAM + they also got IR torches...

They did something which is impossible for us Indians..

IE they recruited ex Afghan SF people and asked them to train them.

Just as a hoe doesnt tell you how to drill her..Same way equipment doesnt teach you how to use it.

I still feel that the Generals have no idea about SF.

They treat it like a special infantey unit and they have made it that.

Look at a LOC deployed infantry battalion.

Unlikely, most afghan SF guys either fled away or were executed by the Talibs.

Recently a video of taliban training with Russian instructors showed up on reddit.
They are also contacting illegal private arms dealers to equip them.
