shotgun with regular slug is not very effective (more effective than a rifle) for kamikaze drone. Everyone is producing special stabilized and precise slugs for that hope India start making itI am not shocked
The use of Shotguns in hunting drones is what is increasing their demands
Nothing unusual they work with civils often in that area
As believed to be SF
Mutton is once a week.In the army how often do the soldiers or officers eat mutton, pork, fish and buff? Once a upon a time when I was in the NCC, in camps we were served boiled eggs everyday twice with banana and tea, chicken for dinner everyday, all though it was a few small pieces ( I wasn't happy as it was not enough for me at all as I eat a lot of meat, veggies everyday) however, many of the cadets seem to be pretty happy as a good chunk of them were from unfortunate backgrounds so, this kind of meal was a big deal for them. And during bada khanas too we had only chicken, more than one chicken dish though and could get a bit more pieces than usual, still small pieces. I always assumed this was the same food culture in the army. So, do they only serve chicken everyday or they serve other types of meat too? Pork and buff I can somewhat understand, what about mutton and fish? Do SF also have the same food culture as the regular army? Do soldiers in forward areas hunt boar or deers in some occasions?

old is gold!I bumped into someone from SG today.
Where i live there lives a old man who is a veteran and has a battlefield disability.(Kargil war)
He knows about by profession from the guy who looks after my dogs.
So today he stopped me and said ..Pilot sahab ek minute rukna
I stopped and he started asking me about the 787 crash…i cleared his doubts on the crash.
So i asked him about his battle experience and asked which unit he was from…when i named his units CO he was pleasantly surprised and asked how i knew.
Told him about my father and other relatives.
Batein kaafi der chali …i too mentioned some cross border raids and immediately he mentioned i was in SG… khufia fauj jiski baat nhi karte jyada..
I said yes yes and mentioned few officers some who are no more and some who are my friends.
He shared a lot of stuff about the unit which i cant share but its mostly in line with what i have already shared here…
Nothing ultra secret.
Guy is so old but very broad physique and despite a disabilty can take down 3-4 chappris of this generation easily at 70 years or so.
Gurkhas drink ?? damn I thought they did not cause in the British ones, they are known for the least alcohol consumptionMutton is once a week.
Chicken is once a week.
Eggs are twice i think.
Panner or similar is always made when non veg is made.
Rest i have mostly seen troops purchase and make their own non veg food throughout the week.
Specially Gurkha troops and Sardars are very fond of non veg and drinks.
Troops from the hindi belt always have ghee, choorma, halwa etc.
Nowadays some fitness guys keep whey protein aswell.
I was also once living in a hostel in my flight academy which was run by ex faujis and i really hated the food system.
Back then i was eating non veg 3 times a day and i really hated the veg oriented food throughout the week and non veg only made a few days and that too max 2 piece a meal.
I used to crib a lot and wish the academy was based in Kerala but i was in a hindi belt with Poha as the favourite.
Now the irony is i have totally quit non veg food.![]()
Its basically another SF unit in Kashmir.old is gold!
My best wishes to him
so if it aligns with what you shared already so just remind us what it was maybe ? What is the closest equivalent we can think of in regaurds to SG ?
Gurkhas are the biggest drinkers i have ever seen in my life.Gurkhas drink ?? damn I thought they did not cause in the British ones, they are known for the least alcohol consumption
mujhe samajh nehi ata vesse Red meat se kya problem hai ? Most of India is non veg, so let's stop pretending that we are vegetarian
