I think they gave remanant amount to Army self help groups too. IIRC there was photo. Rest what you said is something along the lines I remember. Who could imagine today that even people Steven Cohen(Uneven cohen) and B Raman use to frequent boards.

2 completely different Paradigms.

SERE training involves a person escaping the enemy trackers. Many places in NATO too, like I was reading this book by a Danish Jaeger Corps guy he states that his tracking and SERE course were the same because in order to evade enemy trackers well, you should understand tracking first.

The SERE students can serve as simulated targets for the tracking students. And vice versa.
