Am I....am I seeing it right?.... Is that a flashlight...where the sight is supposed to be???.... And is it...being posed with as if it's a sight???
This setup is straight out of a fever dream.
That guy might have mounted that flashlight just for a photo as no one with sane mind would do it in real life as it obstructs the field of view. But look at the plate and its size aint such big plates impractical especially if you have to carry backpack or rucksacks. Dont know why Para is still using Romanian Aks when infantry got Ak-203s.Either upgrade Ak-203s with Fab or SSS furniture or go for Cz-806

Yeah those plates are really troublesome if you require agility and fast paced movements, which the SF really requires.
I don't think they have shooter cut plates in good quantity yet, which is why they're still using full size plates till now.

9 para sf ghosts operative daru I phone perfectly summarise the quality nowadays View attachment 40228
This is actually a very good photo…it shows the attitude of the people selected.

Instead of focusing on being secretive they think they should post like a small town girl on Instagram who just got a job and is flexing her income by showing Iphone and chill life which btw is no sign of being wealthy.

Major Sushant mentioned this in a podcast, the quality of officers is declining rapidly.

He said that 'in his time, people were intellectual, even the jawans. They'd read, create, play music, talk about places to venture, talk about astronomy, talk about everything except politics.'

They were warrior scholars.

These days - pheeling prod Endian Army......Airborne Devil :devilish:.......AK do mai thok dunga.....Jai ho jai ho

I wish we went the UK way for maintaining standards.

I think even one battalion is enough for Pakis in kashmir in a large scale war also.

2 is enough for china.

1 for CT.

But we have mass produced so much SF that now this is the 3rd year that we are seeing LOC troops as good as Indian Para Commandos.

being honest i’ve always held crack infantry battalions higher than majority of para sf. most paras are aren’t anything special asides from the you know who battalions

And absolutely. 1 is more than enough in kashmir to do cross LoC strikes to hide certain node points or drone strikes in PoK.

we were about to go the UK way, that would have made us like Australian SF, see here:

1 Cdo - Was going to be like SAS (Read Lt Gen PC Katoch, infact Col AK Anand mentioned that 1 gave it's counter terrorism mandate to NSG and MARCOS in 1985-86)
9 Cdo - Mountain commandos (retain their speciality but get advanced training like 1)
10 Cdo - Desert Commandos (retain their speciality but get advanced training like 1)

Navy's clearance divers trained in amphibious ops and maritime CT ( what then became IMSF )

Now Aussie SF:

SASR
1 Cdo
2 Cdo

CDT (Clearance diver teams) similar
