would'nt it be too slow and predictable? I feel like a small, light drone to scan and gather information is the best use of these "futuristic tech" for special forces.

the objective of it should not be to engage the enemy but take the first volley of fire and giveaway the enemy position enough for the second and third man to engage successfully. a million dollar equipment getting shot to shit is everyday pleasant outcome than having to send your men home in a bodybag. let's just hope the top brass see it this way. Hope is all we have these days.

Was watching this podcast last night..

I have a preference for jawans over officers for podcasts and this guy didnt disappoint.

Clearly said we use RLs as we dont want to get killed..you gotta stop bullshiting somewhere that you are a He Man and he was very honest about it.

Went on to say when compared to Foreign SF we lack in shooting skills specially pistol shooting..they are better built but we are all rounders and all the technology is theirs but we have started making our own.

Very humble guy..even said he was nervous when he took the head shot coz had he missed his juniors would make fun of him and say what did u learn in NSG.

sounds good to hear but not a plausable solution.. especially in our case where even procuring basic equipment like helmets and PCs is proving hard economically let alone waste these million dollar toys just to get enemy's position. nano drones of the size of hornet are much better suited for this task. even better, use indigeniously built budget fpv drones which are of the size of our palms and will blow up the terrorist while also costing barely 100s of dollars each

Just how many SG units are there ? A colonel, on Quora, mentioned 4 Vikas, SG, & 22 SF. His answer gave an hint that these units are separate. So we could add 2 SG to the mix, & think there might be 4 "tier-1" units.
Any thought ?
