Indian Special Forces

Indian military is yet to invent any technology and gift it to the world for civilian use.
This situation arises from aggression and war, concepts that are nonexistent in the diplomatic and military policies of the politically correct and geopolitically neutral Indian Republic.

Both modern day America and pre-World War II Germany invaded nations, went to all out wars and their military-industrial complexes, along with military engineering research and development, benefited exponentially as a result.

Engineering in India is, at best, primarily focused on creating laborers. Ninety-five percent of the engineers we produce are simply consumers of YouTube lectures, seeking a better livelihood. Neither the system supports a holistic environment for research and development, nor do the majority of students possess any aptitude for it.

Apologies if it hurts someone's sentiments

Plus the market there gives growth to their military industrial complex.

Like NVG,Thermals,ARs are all available to civilians who use it and some compaines who dont get military contract profit and the famous ones get extra money to do research.

A Indian company no matter what it makes be it accessories or Gadgets can never compete in making cutting edge breakthrough technology ever bcoz our market is not there for civilian use.

It is treamandous tremendous boost when the market is there for such things.

Plus no matter how much fun we make of their decisions the fact will always remain that Generals dont have that exposure.

They do not understand the complexity. Its not that they are anti nation its just that the Generals have no idea.

GAGAN is going to be the first technology to be used by civilians.I could have been the first to get my hands on but i was changing companies at that time. Its a kind of Indian GPS which is used to shoot approaches by civilian aircraft and could be very useful in interior areas with very less infrastructure.

If you order a small order of 100 of these helmets, you can get per unit cost of ₹250 per helmet.
Save the money

And go to south block

And say

“Oh Mantriiiii Jiiiii Mantri Jiii paise bach gaye paise bach gaye yeh lo xyz crore”

Mantri be like..”fauj ko koi dikkat”

“Nahi mantri ji sab badiaa paise hi nhi kharch ho rahe”

Thatswhy i never abuse the Defence minister or Prime Minister..At a time our Chiefs should be asking more they are returning money..What does the poor minister know about NVG and Helmets??

There was one defense minister who seemed to know but he's in heaven now.

In any case it is the force's responsibility for gear and all, can't have to Govt telling them how to do their own job.

Gear for the boys is not some big ticket purchases like 114 jets or expensive warships and submarines, little by little they can purchase a standard set of gear and weapon and equip the boys with it.

It's even cheaper if they had a proper special forces group like marcos, they can import also since it's small quantities, maybe even a tri-service order if it's guns.

This is where i disagree. Its extremely apparent that the current crop of Mil Command are Modi Ideological Yes men. They aint asking for shit. they are going to be told what to do. The days of Manekshaw telling the PM for F off are over.

If this is the case then why do they return the money?

Why not use it for equipping SF knowing very very well that even this year we will get ambushed?

I will not get into Agniveers bcoz that is a different and a smaller problem?

Except from giving funds what can the ignorant minister do?

I am not saying that under Modi the Army has become better ofcourse it is not and i can tell you 10 others things that the govt has done wrong over a mug of beer in Mumbai but what about modernisation.

Whatever Modi is …i dont think any General can walk upto him and say i need funds and he wont give funds.

(I am an agnostic and apolitical person with no affinty for any party..I miss our great rulers like Chatrapati Shivaji and Maharana Pratap)

Ok so how does this sound:
I think we should not go back to original 3-4 SF units for PARA and also not this current 15 SF units
We should have permanently 'location' based maybe 7-10 units with a lower troop strength per unit [<400] (not to be treated as a battalion)

And pull out that shatrujeet brigade out of that 'brigade' system and turn it into an ARMY SF HQ or Command which can be linked to AFSOD
Separate out Airborne and keep the support units of Shatrujeet brigade with SF (or maybe divide, Airborne also requires it)

More Ideas like: Joint selection, Or maybe rotation of squads among units (limited to units with similar role)

Correct me if this sounds BS
