Indian Special Forces

It's that only for now we barely had like 3 posts about them online and that too we all found out (except for the one ) although it's not a full thing yet but doing good I suppose.
there is also a possibility thats its not even a thing rn cuz why dont we see them in citations..

Anyone noticing the amount of chappri posts online specially on X have suddenly decreased?

I scan X when i hit the bed every night to find something with SF in it but since the last months barrage on SF training i am seeing less and less of such posts.

Also i noticed that pic of Para SF operator looking like an african militia with patka is not easily available unless u search on reddit.

I have been asking if 13 PARA (SF) was raised for AFSOD or not as some on X mentioned so, but cannot be confirmed.

If Yes, There was a post regarding a KIA operator of 13 in JnK

do you really believe that he's part of india's most specop command after seeing his condition

they have made such a clusterfuck

What is the reason airborne troops like Para are also "SF" here?
Why isn't there a separate special forces group?

I've heard references to this here as it is common knowledge i guess but never got a full picture.
We don't have exact reasons but know of reversal of various SF related decisions in the 90s due to protest by Airborne Officers. So its just a guess that glorification of that SF tag and extra allowances have led to all PARA units being converted to SF

So we expect them to also act as an Airborne unit as well as SF (now this revelation of a coy of Airborne troops)

This reorganisation is such a clownshow! Effectively ruining any traditional airborne force projection capabilities!
We didn't know of this coy thing and thought they would reorganize it later as they will realize that there is no proper airborne element left

But now I think they are 'satisfied' with this coy thing and think this is sufficient. So chances of reorganizing for a proper airborne unit are low

I agree 100%, it'll come back to them in no time. The video shared by SW Cmd today was pretty much a demo of all Assault elements of converted para units. SF boys in opscore helmets with better kit and Airborne/Regular in ACH + Orlite OR201 and M74 with rather infantryman type kit with their own weapon and ppe customizations.

Opscore ones were recently converted elements only...

Wait let me put it in a clearer way here - The converted units are currently having almost a company strength of elite airborne infantry (ach/orlite boys) with 2 teams strength of SF (Opscore boys)
I don't think there's a difference in helmets based on their roles as the Airborne role must be rotated between the teams. I may be wrong here though.

Rats guy didn't mention converted only so could be all units have 150 approx divided across teams or 1 team

I don't think there will be any difference in equipment just in terms of role for that one team
