I’m not sure what your expectation is. India barely holds any advantage, other than manpower (even here it’s brutally restricted as well), over pakistan, in technology, and it’s democratic nature puts it at a disadvantage vs a military dictatorship like pakistan.

If by “we” you mean the indian policy makers then sure. Do remember in 2002 IA was ready to wipe pak terrorism for good but it was the PMji who caved in to western and russian pressure to stand down.

Never trust the chinese, backing off from a direct confrontation but back to their traditional proxy war. chinese military supply lines (Y20) to pakistan were insanely busy last month if you have noticed it. Any spike in infiltration or cross border firing will be done by full backing from the CCP
