Indo US Relations

General Affairs and Politics between the two nations and future of relations between India-US.

New strategy of burger boys.

This woman is a professional conspiracy theorist. Consume whatever comes out of her mouth with great skepticism.

What she is effectively telling is that India has become the net security provider for the Taliban's top leadership, and Taliban is hunting down India's enemy as a part of the deal.

Even if she is correct, these actions are aligned with India's regional hegemonic goals. Those who ally with us will get handsomely rewarded, the enemies will be crippled from within, politically, strategically, and economically. Iran, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are ready to play this game in India's favor. Pakistan is ready to eat grass.

India cannot hope to rise as a global power if we cannot sort out our neighborhood first. Just look at the kind of mess the Myanmar situation has created in the NE states.

As far as the US is concerned, Indians won't trust it's intentions no matter how much magnanimity is shows towards us. Not this generation, not the next four generations. Transactional relation works fine for us.

The Russia-China axis was actively trying to isolate India within the region, particularly in Iran and Afghanistan. It failed miserably (partially thanks to Ukraine). All that is left to deal with is the US.

Gun Violence in America

Owning guns is a right enshrined in the Constitution, yet gun violence remains a daily scourge that threatens America’s most fundamental right: the right to life. Over 600 people die every day as a result of firearm violence, driven in part by the easy access to firearms, whether legal or illegal.

The U.S. Surgeon General has declared gun violence a public health emergency, but his warnings have not been taken seriously. Guns continue to be bought and sold in U.S. gun markets, both legal and illegal, with minimal restrictions. In 2022, there were 45,222 gun deaths in the U.S., an increase from 44,431 in 2021. This number continues to rise year after year.

Despite the Surgeon General's declaration, there appears to be a lack of urgency in addressing this crisis. Politicians are preoccupied with international conflicts, and the media is more focused on geopolitical narratives than on the domestic issue of gun violence.

Gun laws enacted over the past 30 years have inadequately addressed the issue of gun availability. For perspective, when 55,000 Americans died over a decade during the Vietnam War, there was significant public outcry and media coverage. Yet in 2022, nearly the same number of Americans died from gun violence in just one year, with little public outrage, only sympathy.

To recall major mass shooting incidents:
- 2015. – Nightclub in Orlando: 49 people killed, 53 wounded
- 2017. – Concert in Las Vegas: 60 people killed, 411 wounded
- 2019. – Store in El Paso: 23 people killed, 23 wounded

These events generated significant media noise, but coverage quickly shifted back to partisan political stories. The media often supports one set of politicians over another rather than maintaining focus on the issue of gun violence.

In 2020, it was estimated that there were 433.9 million firearms in civilian possession in the U.S.

While gun-related suicides tend to receive less public attention than murders, they have long accounted for the majority of U.S. gun deaths. In 2021, 54% of all gun-related deaths in the U.S. were suicides (26,328), while 43% were murders (20,958), according to the CDC. The remaining gun deaths that year were accidental (549), involved law enforcement (537), or had undetermined circumstances (458).

When America advocates for freedom and democracy worldwide, it often overlooks the most fundamental right within its borders: the right to live. This crucial issue, frequently ignored or relegated to the background, must be prioritized in all its welfare efforts.

India-US Relations 'Not Deep Enough' To Be Taken For Granted: American Envoy Eric Garcetti After PM Modi's Russia Visit

India iski wife hai kya ?
Reading his statement felt like reading some relationship councillors advice.

US and India….. off and on relationship

US and India could never develop relations deep enough in the last 75 years, although its philanthropy during 1966-69 shipment of food grain could never be forgotten. On the other hand, its wrongs done cannot be forgotten either. Its examples are:

1. Supplying Patton tanks and Sabre jets and Starfighters to Pakistan from 1955 to 1962 to beat up India, although US called India friend.

2. US consistently voted against India at the UN on Kashmir matter and encouraged Pakistan to pick up a fight with India.

3. US sent nuclear powered Aircraft carrier to Bay of Bengal in 1971 to stop India reaching Bangladesh first. It was an act of war which cannot be forgotten.

4. From 1982 onwards, US allowed Pakistan to steal nuclear knowhow from US itself and Europe to build a nuclear bomb. That bomb, US knew will be used against India.

5. US winked at the Pakistani Army when they staged a coup in 1999 against the civilian PM to stage the Kargil war against India. The US intervened only when the matter went out of hands.

6. From 2001 till 2014, the US provided $20 billion in military aid to Pakistan knowing fully well that this military hardware has only one purpose, fight India.

Hence if you try to balance all the good work done by US towards India and the evil done by them, it is not difficult to conclude that India-US friendship is so-so and has too many pitfalls.

Even in last 8 years, there was a chance that India - US relations could blossom more with Trump arrival in the White House. But as soon as he was gone pin-pricks started again. In last four years, India has done no evil to US, rather aided its interests in Indian Ocean region except that foolish Ukraine war intervened. India started cheap oil purchase from Russia and saved closed $8 to 10 billion, that was not sitting well with US. All kinds of evil stories like Pannu Affair have originated from US. The U.S. knows that in the larger matter of things, these are immaterial affairs, but US kept at to make India angry. That anger finally resulted in Modi shaking hand with Putin in Moscow.

The US-India relationship are not likely to improve. The old, senile and incompetent president has to go and with it the rotten US administration has to be removed. That could happen in November this year, but until then India has to keep its mouth shut and hope the Ukraine war ends. Now India is $4 trillion economy on its way up; US has no other choice but to deal with India in the right way.

What she is effectively telling is that India has become the net security provider for the Taliban's top leadership, and Taliban is hunting down India's enemy as a part of the deal.

She is trying to say how incompetent CIA is. Despite paying to taliban regular grants as per Doha agreement CIA is not able to get desired results.

CIA is nurturing ISIS Khorsan with the help of Pak Army ISI to destabilise Taliban regime in Afganistan and also on & off attack in Russia by tazik recruits of ISIS-K.

I don't think any doubt exists regarding regime change ops by deep state

Babaji shakes a leg with Putin. So Daddy America needs to reply somethings. So called VP Harris to talk to Rahul Gandhi to show some weightage. But problem is Sleepy Biden is on a trip to destroy democrats.

1720803097547.png

It is clear the the American & EU regimes have played a part in boosting select accounts & setting some narratives in Indian elections as well.

Now, American VP calls up Rahul, just after Modi's Russia visit. We have hosted the Texas governor as well.

Some mischief might be in the offing..

What I was saying ofc it is repercussion of Modi's Russia visit but the way they are openly messaging the govt is concerning
They are indicating their capability which they have successfully shown in 2024 elections
No matter if dem or rep come to power their attitude and actions will remain same
They are not going to stop to hurt Modi and his political ambitions and will go to any extent to defeat him
The message was clear
We can reciprocate in similar manner but afterall it lies on capability
We don't have power to influence their election influence their deep state decision but they have

The US did a great disservice to itself while the handling the "Pannun", "Temple attacks", and "Consulate bombing" issues. A huge chunk of the goodwill it earned through the "nuclear deal" and what not have been lost.

The open messaging (more like rants/tantrums) indicates that the plan A failed miserably, and the plans B/C are unlikely to succeed.

This Eric Garcetti is incompetent, a failed politician, now a failed diplomat. He came to India (the 3rd world 😜;)) carrying an infallible belief in "America Stronk", he is now having to deal with the real world.

Please stop copying American RW - you do not have to smell conspiracy everywhere.

Elon's X is in trouble cuz they keep platforming neo Nazis, white supremacists and conspiracy theorists; let violent/gory content go unmoderated, denied data access to their 'researchers' and violated their digital content rules. Elon publicly engages with racists and conspiracy theorists on his platform.

Twitter algorithms have been modified to boost far right talking points/conspiracy theories. Hate against non whites (Indians included) have been mainstreamed and incentivized there.

Xitter will have to pay 6% of their annual revenue as fine if proven guilty and Elon is trying to BS his way out like he always does - no need to take him seriously. I wish we had laws like that here in India.....

Who is copying what & where?

I am pointing out a tweet from Elon & his allegations against EU which as an Indian comes to me as a handy tool against self appointed, preaching moralizing self righteous gatekeepers of the world - the EU. Boer wigat Elon's allegations have as much credibility as the EU's/associated organizations statements/fact checks/OpEds/studies etc.

Youtube India has played with the algorithms. Some employees are on the scanner. Under jack, twitter did the same. Assume the same for other SM platforms, all acting as foot soldiers for a particular ideology that is well connected with the current American regime & which can be prodded to set narratives against foreign leaders who are not "obedient". Is a fact not a conspiracy.

Does not matter if XYZ is a wignat or a lib homosexual, selectively use them.

1. As I said; the EUwallahs are very clear in their allegations;

“Back in the day, BlueChecks used to mean trustworthy sources of information,” European Commissioner Thierry Breton said in a statement. “Now with X, our preliminary view is that they deceive users and infringe the DSA.”

The commission also charged X with failing to comply with ad transparency rules. Under the DSA platforms must publish a database of all digital advertisements that they've carried, with details such as who paid for them and the intended audience.

But X's ad database isn't “searchable and reliable” and has “design features and access barriers” that make it “unfit for its transparency purpose,” the commission said. The database’s design in particular hinders researchers from looking into “emerging risks” from online ads, it said.

The company also falls short when it comes to giving researchers access to public data, the commission said. The DSA imposes the provisions so that researchers can scrutinise how platforms work and how online risks evolve.

But researchers can't independently access data by scraping it from the site, while the process to request access from the company through an interface “appears to dissuade researchers” from carrying out their projects or gives them no choice but to pay high fees, it said.

X now has a chance to respond to the accusations and make changes to comply, which would be legally binding. If the commission isn't satisfied, it can levy penalties worth up to 6% of the company's annual global revenue and order it to fix the problem.

The findings are only a part of the investigation. Regulators are still looking into whether X is failing to do enough to curb the spread of illegal content — such as hate speech or incitement of terrorism — and the effectiveness of measures to combat “information manipulation,” especially through its crowd-sourced Community Notes fact-checking feature.

TikTok, e-commerce site AliExpress and Facebook and Instagram owner Meta Platforms are also facing ongoing DSA investigations.

EU has been going after tech giants for years now;

They even stalled Oracle's acquisition of Sun Microsystems back in 2012.

2. Gems of X;

A few days ago, some users started noticing that X was automatically changing mentions of the Twitter.com URL to X.com on the social network’s iOS app. The change was made no matter where “Twitter” was in the URL, which means that URLs such as “NetfliTwitter.com” appeared as “Netflix.com” in posts.

View: https://twitter.com/t3dotgg/status/1777425000133468582?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1777425000133468582%7Ctwgr%5Efc9721ec2453d08fa6f4afc3175584bef775430f%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fgizmodo.com%2Felon-musk-change-twitter-url-x-phishing-risk-ios-1851399588

However, as you might imagine, even if X automatically changed NetfliTwitter.com to Netflix.com in posts, users who clicked on the link were taken to NetfliTwitter.com—not the real Netflix home page.

While at first glance this may simply appear to be an annoying change instituted by the company, users quickly pointed out that the situation created an ideal situation for scammers. By buying up domains like NetfliTwitter.com, scammers were given a perfect opportunity to conduct phishing campaigns and steal users’ login credentials.

X, formerly known as Twitter, has lost another major advertiser—this time, it's Disney. The entertainment giant is another in a string of major companies to have pulled ads from X after owner Elon Musk endorsed antisemitic conspiracy theories on his platform.

Disney is joined by Comcast and Paramount Global, where a spokesperson for the companies confirmed to The Washington Post on Friday that they had suspended ads on the platform. Apple and IBM also suspended ads on X this week, just a day after Musk agreed to claims that "Jewish people are replacing whites with immigrants from minority groups."

Musk then doubled down by attacking the Anti-Defamation League, accusing the organization of "refusing to criticize the minority groups who are their primary threat."

These tweets have received major backlash across the internet, including a statement on Friday from the White House condemning Musk for using his platform to stoke the flames of anti-semitism and that it was “unacceptable to repeat the hideous lie behind the most fatal act of antisemitism in American history at any time."

The Tesla and SpaceX owner acknowledged the backlash on Friday and stated to commentators that he would stick to his principles and vaguely threatened that "fake advocacy groups who seek to suppress free speech should remember that karma is real."

Linda Yaccarino, Musk's handpicked CEO for X, tried to run damage control for Musk's posts, citing that X has been "extremely clear about our efforts to combat antisemitism and discrimination." However, despite this statement and previous claims that the platform was doing everything to protect brands from having its ads displayed next to racist and antisemitic tweets, a report from Media Matters For America, just hours after Musk's post, found that this was not true.

The report detailed that major brands like Apple, Bravo (NBCUniversal), IBM, Oracle, and Xfinity (Comcast) all had their ads placed next to posts that endorsed Adolf Hitler and the Nazi party. Most of these brands have since paused or suspended ad spending on X, although it's unclear if Media Matters' findings had anything to do with those decisions.

The bots themselves — which are constantly reported and suspended, only for new bots to take their place — appear to be activated by specific keywords. Any mention of firearms may summon them, but cursing and other strong language can too. When author Jim Wright offered somewhat profane advice to Michiganders during an ice storm, for example, a bot answered, “yooo i got cheap, clean poles 4 sale, click the link in my bio.” In rap lyrics, “pole” refers to a gun; other common euphemisms in these tweets are “heaters,” “straps,” and the water gun emoji. Twitter’s guidelines explicitly prohibit “the promotion of weapons and weapon accessories globally.”

More unusually, some of these bots are only responsive to tweets that contain the n-word, indicating that they seek out potential buyers through a crude form of racial profiling. The context in which the word is used doesn’t matter (in fact, it’s often a casual comment), and the problem has gotten so pronounced on Twitter that it has turned into a meme among Black users bombarded by such messages. One person complained that they see the bots more than their own family — only to be hit by another bot reply. Elsewhere, people will jokingly reply to each other’s tweets as if they are the gun-shilling bots.

The link the bots are pushing directs to a channel on the encrypted messaging app Telegram, which hosts a bustling underground market for drugs and firearms.

The fact that the GoI is not going after them says a lot about our law enforcement agencies.

3. That YouTube manipulating algorithms thingy has been 'leaked' by one journo only - no other media house has reported on it (to my knowledge).

4. Sure, Jack's Twitter went crazy woke in their final years and housed their own propaganda machinery but it just was not this bad. Folks like @FalconSlayers have been fighting anti India handles for years now - do ask him who had it worse.

So tell me, what does this huge post got do do with my reply to your statement about me copying "American RW"?

Let me make it even more simpler for you - As an Indian, i am taking potshots at the slugfest between
"free speech absolutist" wignat Musk & self moralizing/gate-keeping EUshits, who again claim that they they too are for free speech. You are conflating this as my "phull sapport" to Musk.
