Trump has already strained relations with G-7 allies through tariffs and his abrupt exit from their summit. His attempts to pressure Putin into a Ukraine deal failed, and he had to backtrack on tariffs with China after their rare earths embargo.
Where is the dealmaker he claims to be? Under the banner of “Making America Great Again,” Trump has managed to frustrate allies from Modi to Macron, Putin to Xi. The world doesn’t run on one man’s whims. You can pressure a few—but not the entire planet.

At this point, Pakistan might be the only country left cheering him on—perhaps even nominating him for a (mock) Nobel Peace Prize.

This is the harsh reality - As India grows, USA will come at India at some point in the future. Could be 2 decades or longer or maybe even quicker if they think they can dispose off India easily. This is the right time for India to build it's only capabilities. Make peace with the fact that USA will never be our friend and start taking action starting now. India shouldn't be under any delusion regarding USA.
