A 100-year-old Hindu temple in Akola, Maharashtra, was demolished by Jibrail Ibrahim Diwan (60), his son, and two others using a JCB.

After demolishing the temple, they discarded the sacred murtis in a drain.

The police have registered a case against the main accused, but no action has been taken against his son or the other individuals involved.
