American can do as much strike they want. But with civilian deaths it will be impossible to change government in Iran. They will get stuck worst than Iraq or Syria or afghan or Vietnam .
It’s just to get some deal in the end to get ports and make money out of Middle East.

we as nation and individual are totally against supporting terror by Iran but this is not the solution. They don’t need chings and ruskie. Boots on the ground is going to be much tougher as they will face big resistance by people and their trained mullah.
For now their sleeper cells will be active it seems . It’s a big task for intelligence.
It can work in favour of Russia china or Asian countries to make USA get busy there and then they leave after a big loss.

I disagree with this assessment.
Only because India has surpassed that stage of power where we need some country to send their men and machinery to do the battle for us.
We didn't need this even during the four wars we fought with Pakistan, one in "71 being very much against an antagonistic US.

What we need this alliance for is to make sure the other partners of the so called alliance are not used to leverage our weaknesses. Case in point being how China provides economic cover fire for Russia in Ukraine. Smuggling dual-use chips, buying large quantities of cheap oil. Basically doing whatever they can to keep a few Russian interests unharmed.
Were they not in this alliance, America would easily have come in and pressured Russia using these pain points. Yes, Chinese do these because Russia has oil and food to offer, no doubt. Not to mention land. In same manner, we have to find stuffs to offer.

If one is dreaming of fighting a war alone in today's world, it is a foolish dream, and a lot of people subscribe to this wet dream of India against the world, where by some magic India can forever keep balancing East and West without ever getting in a tricky situation. All our ancient wisdom, statecraft and even modern history all the while points this being opposite to common sense.

Well said! I just want to add small tidbits. Emotions have no place in foreign policy. Foreign policy should be based on pure cold calculation. Let me provide an example. When India carried out Operation Shakti, US and some of its allies immediately placed India under sanction. China was the first country to openly sell India uranium. Why did China do it? It was a symbolic gesture to let India know that China supports India's strategic independence. China supports India's strategic independence because it is vital for China's national security. If we examine the importance of Troika under this light, it is easier to understand why India, Russia and China have decided to revive it. This is why I am baffled that so many of the members do not seem to understand the importance of Iran's strategic independence.

US has provided no proof of destroying Irani nukes and now even their media claims the nuclear material was moved by Iran. We provided the proof of what we claimed. We never made idiotic claim of dismantling Porki nukes.

Israel is a tiny country, with not a large area to defend. It's not comparable to India. Plus, it basically gets all weapons from the US for free.

Between China and US, who is a better partner?

Economically between India & China, I don't see much inter-dependent compatibility. India imports lot of stuff and materials which are then used to produce goods to be consumed internally or export to ME, Europe & US. China looks at India as a potential market (increasing middle class consumer base), potentially to offset some of the lost market in the west. What are we going to export to China?

To me US is much better choice any day, they are nowhere nearly as arrogant as Chinese. US deep state can still be reasoned with. Chinese are an ideological and revisionist power, for them India as a successful economic story undermines their political superiority complex. China and India started their journey around the same time in 1949 & 1947 resp, they choose different political paths.

I disagree with the insecurities projected by MEA/Modi viz-a-viz de-dollarization rejection, SCO avoidance, BRICS occasional nuisance maker, etc. Other than that RIC is reaching there, at snail pace, but atleast going somewhere.
Putin Kaka can do some heavy lifting for us, were it not his total dependency on Chinese economy, he could have done occasional analization of China and RIC would have seemed the natural choice for successive Indian goverments.
We can sort out our issues with the land grabber, but should never do any deal with The Great Satan or his bulldog.
