From what I know Kaveri has achieved it's original dry thrust goal of 50+ KN.
If this thing can help it achieved 85+KN of wet thrust then it will be almost ready for tejas mk1a, only lifetime flight hours test will remain, if it can achieve 5000+ hours we can say bye bye to f 404.
Hopefully the facilities, scientists etc involved are glow-nijjer proof

Otherwise you'll have mysterious explosion/fire at the plant, or maybe the most big-brained scientists meeting with accidents or dying of natural causes like the Nuclear
I haven't heard CIA doing it in China in 2010's when they developing there own engines.Hopefully the facilities, scientists etc involved are glow-nijjer proof

Right, this time govt is also different.I haven't heard CIA doing it in China in 2010's when they developing there own engines.
So very low chance of it Happening.
Tejas Mk1 will be replaced on the assembly line by Tejas Mk2 before this Kaveri with AB be fully ready and mature. As Kaveri was late all was made to accomodate the Tejas frame with US engine, and now to change it to the initial Kaveri is not an easy and speedy task. That's the issue. Lot of info coming we developed many critical technologies but then why kaveri not usable??
Can't we replace ge f 404, when their life cycle of ends in future ?, a fighter jet goes through multiple engines in life.Tejas Mk1 will be replaced on the assembly line by Tejas Mk2 before this Kaveri with AB be fully ready and mature. This Kaveri thrust will be a little bit short for Mk2....
I'm afraid to think it is too late for this engine. Now if it is really mature, use it to developp a Kaveri 2 with 95 or 100KN.
