After the initial orde of 1.5 lakh helmet a few more tranches were ordered some 80000 and 4000 for sikh troops.

Can anyone explain what below means.

In 2020, the Army started procuring ballistic helmets by issuing an RFI (request for information). Currently, 4.8 lakh frontline troops have ballistic helmets. According to Army sources, 40 percent of the procurement is complete, while 50 percent is left. Roughly 10 percent of the procurement will be left untouched for future development, i.e., in case of any technological advancements, the Army will get new versions of those helmets, ensuring that at least some frontline troops get the newer versions.

People, obviously never me duh, often question the expenditure on Robotic Kukur saying what exactly would be its use? So here's a video to answer all those queries for once and all

The robo kutta was doing an important job. It helped keep the soldier safe by bringing him his head safety gear, the soldier didn't know it then but he was in grave danger without the cap. The robo kutta with its adbhanshued AI teknulugy recognized the need for soldier's safety and protective gear. And where do you think the robo kutta learned these safety standards from? It's AI was programmed by observing and learning from the actions of our great jernails.

Giving Army leadership benefit of the doubt, I think they were holding out for modern helmets with protection against rifle rounds which are just around the corner. MKU already has Kavro Doma 360. Maybe they are waiting for another vender to come up so they can go for competitive bidding.
I think (more like wish) something similar is going on with artillery too, i.e. they want to go for SPHs instead of towed ones, hence the limited number of orders for ATAGS etc.
