As per the available info in news articles, 32 in 2018 for PARA, 370 more in 2021 for PARA & 750 in 2022 for Infantry, so around 1200±50.

No... its just that Shivaji is a Hindutva icon.. and Zoravar Singh is not.. and looks like CO is currying some favor with political bosses..
Have there been instances of statues of Indian kings or satraps associated with the Regiment's Geography coming up in border areas previously ?.. If yes.. then, I would be wrong in my assessment..

What's the big fuss about proven tech? it's not as if the indigenous products aren't tested.
Rajanath Singh needs to come out and give a statement that Generols are undermining military preparedness by undermining our industries. Call out the Chandigarh lobby in a firm statement. I guess Non confortatioal Politician and babudom aren't ready for that talk yet.
One CBI Enquiry and all the generols will fall in line.

In 25 days we'd be having republic day parade which would get concluded with a Chap spinning on top of a Royal Enfield with a binoculars, providing 360° surveillance.
This show of force would happen just 30 days after China did their show of force.

I'd say save this for that day, it'd come handy.
