Naxal Maoist Insurgency

I don't get this oft-repeated anti-humanities diatribe among RWers. I say educate your children about certain non-negotiables, dharma and desh bhakti, from early on to make them immune to manipulation later on. But you shouldn't prevent them from taking up something they may have the aptitude for. And running away from the fight isn't the answer. We need many future historians, journalists and sociologists to infiltrate leftist academic dens and correct the narrative.
I am perhaps one of the few in our society and perhaps the only one on DFB who has moved from humanities/social sciences to STEM based studies and research. Hence, whatever I am saying is based on my personal experiences. It pains me to see the state of humanities education in India and around the world. There is so much we can learn from this field but unfortunately it has been hijacked by leftists. However, with the implementation of the New Education Policy by the current govt, I have realised that the days when you demarcated the humanities stream and science stream have long gone by. We are in the age of interdisciplinary studies. Even if you are a humanities/social sciences student, you need to have basic knowledge of coding, statistics etc. In the West, you have several data scientists who have a social science/humanities background. Perhaps this is how the humanities needs to evolve, by focussing on quantitative areas. I am sure with this evolution, several if not all, of these leftist academician will be made redundant.

Left-Wing groups Demand Judicial Probe Into Keshav Rao Encounter

The left parties and people’s organisations on Thursday demanded for judicial inquiry by a Supreme Court judge into the encounter that took place on Wednesday killing 26 Maoists including CPI (Maoist) Central Committee general secretary Nambala Keshav Rao.

The leaders of CPI (M), CPI, CPI (ML-New Democracy), CPI (ML- Mass Line), Telangana People’s Joint Action Committee, Peoples’ Front and Civil Liberties Committee held a joint media conference at Manchikanti Bhavan at Khammam.
CPI (M) district secretary Nunna Nageswara Rao pointed out that the Centre was continuing anti-Naxal operations in Dandakaranya forest in Chhattisgarh even after CPI (Maoist) expressed their willingness to hold peace talks. He urged the Centre to accept Maoists’ request for peace talks and cease fire.
